The bumblebees are back!

Week 8 against the Colts the Steelers will were the bumblebee jerseys. I love it I rock my Ben one all the time.

 

They only wore them once last season didn't they? I love these throwbacks too. Kinda surprised with the 40th aniversary of SB IX they didn't have a throwback to those uniforms. Oh how I long for block numbers.

 

I'm with you on the block style numbers. White pants too.

 

So will the Colts wear their old Baltimore Uni's? Then the Rats can emulate the Stains?

 

Not a Throwback Bumblebee fan, but we have a pretty fair record in them 3-1 and I think.
I kind of like the 75th throwback with yellow helmets a lot better.

I typically feel the same but the team seems to play with some extra attitude when they wear them. The record reflects that.

 

I love the bumble bees. we play pretty good in them, don't we? they could wear pink tie-dyed jersey's if they win. LOL

The new rules governing the number of helmets a team could have may have contributed to the decision not to wear them more then once. IF they could still have the yellow helmets and the black and possibly whatever color they originally wanted with the bumble uniforms I think you would have saw the number of games they wore them increased just in an effort to sell more merchandise.

 

I know this will make me sound like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn, but I absolutely hate all the throwback unis. I guess I'm just a traditionalist. When I pay to go see the Steelers I want to see the Steelers uniforms which are already the coolest in the NFL. I don't want to see any circus costumes or pink accessories.

Imagine if an amazing play, like "Immaculate Reception"-level amazing, happens in those ridiculous bumble bee unis and we have to watch it replayed for the next forty years...shudders...

 

pj, in light of Chuck Noll's passing, I'd be ok with a throwback uni with block numbers and grey facemasks.

 

will we be sporting a CK on our unis this year?

if this team isn't Prepared to play lights out and bring number 7 home for the man who started it all. i'll be a raging......
