Bryant looks pretty good too. i'll bet he has certain pakages to learn early then they should expand his routes as the season goes. when the defenders are there is when we will truly see what they got though. nice quickness added to this team.

run blocking downfield by these wr's will also come into play along with ST's ability. I've liked what JB and moye both have done in that part of their games. I think Bryant was pretty good at that too from college.

heck let the big fast receivers play and beat them up awhile and then put the midgets in when the d is tired and make them chase. we can play it so many ways this year. I love it.:smiley1::cool:

Wheaton looks good. I think he is going to show us all why the FO has so much faith in him this season.

We have a nice mix of talent and size at the position it seems. AB smaller and shifty, Wheaton similar to AB, Moore smaller possession receiver in the slot, Bryant big and fast, DHB big and fast, and JB big possession receiver. Archer thrown in there too. It could be really tough to cover all of these talented WR's paired with Heath and Bell as receiving threats as well. Should be fun to see how it all pans out.

Wow, I thought Wheaton looked really good in the second video. He looks really quick. I thought Bryant looks really good too. Nice. Very nice. :)

Looks like Brown is still the only one in pads.

What problem would you rather have:

    Lack of talent
    Keeping them happy

    I know my answer.

All I am saying is your OC better be very creative
He has a lot of weapons at his arsenal, and they will all want the ball.Nothing more nothing less.

it's fortunate that there are guys like Heath on the team that are the type that will do whatever is asked of them to help the team win games and who don't care about how many times they get targets or catches they get per game. Makes me miss Hines Ward more now, even if he didn't get targeted he was going to deck somebody to spring a long run or give a fellow WR more YAC. Ah the good ol days

I think the majority of this team is made up of selfless players, guys like Heath, Wheaton, Moore, DHB, Bell are high character guys, team players and I don't believe the whole thing about AB demanding the ball either. He's a WR so of course he wants it, they all do but that alleged incident with Haley was never caught on film, the whole think was bunk. I think the trouble makers on this team were jettisoned, I like the mix we have now.

For those who can't recognize the guys so easily yet....Moore, Wheaton, Brown, Bryant is the order they are in.

I expect Wheaton to be better than Sanders, he's my choice to have a breakout season.

Blast, I get your point, but...
I WANT players that want the ball!!!
Yes, it`s cool, and "team-friendly", to say you don`t care how many passes you get...
Ya don`t want "ego-maniacs", like Ocho Stinkoko, etc...
BUT... At the same time, I want players that want the ball in their hands!!!(As long as they don` complain in public, when they don`t get it. Lobbying the QB is fine.) And are willing to block when they don`t get the ball thrown to them.
It`s a fine line, to have confidence, and expectations, for yourself, but not be seen as "cocky"...
Out of the list of players you posted, Heath, has proved it.
    The others, MIGHT...
And, I think, Todd Haley, is gonna be creative enough to spread the ball around to all of them...
If he`s not, Ben has already proved he likes to spread the ball around, no matter who is coaching him!!!
(I`m not gonna try to dig up stats, but just from watching the games, Sure, Ben has his favorites, but in any given game, he is one of the better QB`s at spreading the ball around to all his targets. The only ones he seems to forget about, are backs outta the backfield. I`m hoping he will get even better at that once he starts trusting Bell, and maybe Dri Archer...)...
    GO STEELERS!.. (I got a FEELING....You know the rest!:herewego!: )

You misconstrued my point and made my point all at the same time. Bleed, they all want the ball, of course they do, they just understand it's a team sport and aren't dicks about it. I'll take that any day, thank you. You can have Mike Wallace.

Just to check: are you saying that a team with two (two) good receivers faces instant problems because of ball distribution? Like no other team in the NFL has ever successfully had more than one good receiver? I'm not sure I follow.

One of Wheatons traits coming out of Oregon was that he did fight for the ball... He absolutely wanted it. sure a mangled hand played its part, as a ducks fan I watched him coming up and the mini Boldin comparison isn't too far off. He was a serious weapon for the ducks and the rest of the PAC 12 to be concerned with. Of course as always, it's up to him to make his mark.

I think he is including Heath, Bell, and Archer in his assessment of needing more footballs. We all know what Heath brings, and Bell has proven that he is an asset out of the backfield. They didn't draft Archer in the third round to only play him as a 3rd down RB, so he figures to get the rock too. Those three will certainly be getting a pretty fair share of balls thrown their way.

Between the receivers AB, Wheaton (even Moore) and the three guys I mentioned earlier, it seems like we might have a pretty substantial number of weapons to throw to.
