i don't know what we will do with all the our picks left ..should have try to trade up to get desir .....

 

Pressure starts everything. If you give almost any NFL QB time it doesn't matter who you have in the secondary. Allen's not the only guy on the roster and they will greatly upgrade the safety play next year. It's going to take more than one year to fix the defense given the number of holes to fill on the line, at linebacker, and in the secondary. I like what they're doing and I get it - you think this draft is a failure because they didn't take a DB yet.

 

Just about all of our picks this year for me are "can't complain" picks.

Archer is still a question mark, but one I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to.

We have won and been to Super Bowls this past decade with not so great corners. However, have we not led the league in lowest pass yards given up a few times recently?

Last year we had ZERO pass rush, while before we had a GREAT pass rush. While I will agree that a one year sample is too small to draw conclusion, the data tends to point to a lack of a pass rush being the major factor in a lacking secondary.

And for everyone who wants to see more CB INTs, everyone wants to see that. But we have won Super Bowls without that type of production, but have not even been to the playoffs (recently) without a pass rush.

 

yea but a cb to replace ike next season is a must .. who knows maybe we will find one somewhere

I think you can take WRs off the list at this point.

 

Dont waste your time arguing/going back and fourth with this person...no matter what you say wont change anything...haha.

It's going to be slim pickings for the cornerbacks for the rest of the draft.

 

i never said anywhere that it was a "failure", but from the short time i've been on this board, it seems most Steelers fans here don't value good secondary depth. CBs are apparently worthless, or just don't matter nearly as much as having 12 LBs, because a good LB could do his job AND a CBs job, apparently, all at the same time.

 

I would take Devin Street off my list but I can't get myself to take Brandon Coleman off.
