Yeah i am sure we will grab one in the 4th or 5th round that won't even make the team or will be a back up and then get cut after a couple years. That does us alot of good.

Do you guys not realize we needed corner help so bad we had to sign William Gay back to the team? Does that not say anything to you? If all the decent guys get grabbed up before we pick again in the 2nd, we have truly failed for like a 4th year in a row. It is becoming such a joke.

Timmons was an olb at Florida State and he's doing fine as a 3-4 ILB.

I am surprised, but being a Buckeye fan, I can't hate too much, I liked Mosley better tho.
Shazier is definitely a ILB, not tall enough to play LOLB. Nobody can predict the future, so I will remain optimistic with this pick. Only time will tell. I see Shazier playing a lot, especially in Nickel situations. HE will give us some speed in coverage.

What the hell are you smoking Hayward is a beast Decastro was looking like one of the best guards in the league towards the end of the year and Jones was a ROOKIE last year.

Because clearly a first round corner is the answer to all of the Steeler's defensive woes.

Historically low sacks and clear lack of pressure on the QB the bast 2 seasons? Pfff that means nothing. Corners should be good enough to lock down WRs all day long. Why even have a pass rush? Trade all of our front seven starters for more first round picks so we can draft more first round corners. Because you know, only first round corners are capable of starting in the NFL.

No CB can cover if the QB has all day to throw. Relax, lot of good CB's left. I believe they absolutely wanted Fuller there and didn't feel Dennard fit well, as several members here have pointed out.

Yes there are, enough for us to take two of them that would make the final 53.

Speaking of Jones: anyone seen anything on how well he was able to put upper body strength on?

I think you were trying to make a point about our history of converting DE to OLB, but we do that with later picks. I think much of the outrage of this pick is not the player, but where we picked. For me it's that, plus he won't contribute year one.

I wasn't sold on a CB pick, but they have a better chance of contributing early. Maybe we couldn't find a dance partner, but it would have been nice to trade back and get picks, than him at 15.

Okay. I have regained my composure. However, if we take another 5'9" smurf WR tomorrow I will put a skylight in here 'cause I will go through the freakin' roof!

dennard is still available. there must be something about him that teams are passing on him. i think if fuller was still available at 15, they would have picked him instead of shazier. steelers are much higher on shazier than dennard and other teams too.

People remember Richard Sherman was a late round pick and he seems to be working out fine? There are plenty of DBs left.

Hate this. We NEED corners. BPA is not a good strategy until the later rounds IMO. Teams have learned the blueprint to beating DL's schemes. Even with Godzilla at ILB, we will continue to get dinked and dunked up and down the field. We NEED corners who can stop the madness.
