Moving him inside makes me feel a little better but still we have Timmons, Williams, Spence and Garvin. I think things may not be going so well with worilds

 

It isn't a one round draft either. Probblynot a pick i'd have madebut putting a guy with that speed and athleticism next to Timmons will give us a great middle at lb for years.

 

Yup, Spence is out. No doubt about it they have 2 guys opposite Timmons that saw playing time and progression and they're calling this guy an inside LB as well.

Trying hard not to hate this. I thought if we traded back to 30 via SF we could settle for Shazier... At 30!!! I can only assume CJ Mosely's medical did not check out.

 

Have to admit I was shocked. shocked, I say. but on second thought, I wouldn't have been disappointed with Mosely there, and ultimately, I think Shazir will be better. We'll get our cb in the 2nd. Bradley Robey is my guess.

 

Agree! Love this pick, based on who was all left. Wish we would have traded down, but still like this pick better than Dennard. Now lets get a WR in round 2!!!!

remember I just made a thread about us going with these hybrid guys. no changing on passing downs. he fits the bill. DL isn't done yet upgrading a 3-4 defense. solid pick. the kid is fast.

 

and when they pressure the QB and force him to throw to a random WR, do you not think that having better secondary players will give them more freedom to blitz? blitz all you want, but if you don't have a secondary, you'll allow first downs/touchdowns all day when the QB starts getting rid of the ball quickly.

ravens picked a inside backer. man they are having a great draft. they are so much better than us.

 

Hung up on CBs? When is this last time we spent a first or second on a corner? We have A.J. Green, Josh Gordon and Torrey Smith in our division and we have an aging, non-playmaker Ike Taylor and what? William Gay or Cortez Allen or Curtis Brown or whoever the hell plays on the other side.

What a ****ing joke. We have NO DEPTH at corner whatsoever and what we already have in our front seven can do ALOT more if we can ever cover anyone. Ever see why we lose games late and WE NEVER GET INTERCEPTIONS? Because we have no talent at corner! With Timmons, Vince Williams and Sean Spence finally coming back, they really couldn't wait till later rounds to draft an LB?

And if they had to draft an LB why not Mosely, who is a much more complete player imo and played ILB in a 3-4?

Sorry guys I am so damn frustrated we are not addressing needs.

We didn't get the best. The Ravens did.

 

Jesus I didn't know he ran a 4.35 forty you put him inside and he could cause a lot of havoc. I'm starting to like this pick.

 

Have a feeling we'll be saying "Steelers should have drafted Mosley instead," for the next 7-10 years...

 

I do like a faster ILB like Shazier more than Mosley. I was not a fan of Mosley
