ILB who runs a sub 4.4 40 in a passing league that's becoming TE obsessed.

He'll be an inside backer here I think. Trouble is, in the film I've watched, he can't shed blocks at all. Seems to play smaller than 237.

 

Inside was awful for us. This guy just bumped Williams and Spence and anyone else. Freakish athlete makes plays!

Great player, I'm a big fan of this pick. Brings some much needed athleticism to our defense. Don't get the hate for the pick...everyone hung up on CB's?

 

dennard struggles in zone. we don't need him and anyone else we can get later. I am not a fan of ohio st but people who have seen him say he is a stud. that's good enough for me. if he starts for 10 years then this is a homerun

seriously, did they really need another linebacker over a secondary guy? how many years are you willing to watch the old dogs go out there and struggle to contain average/above average wide receivers? they need some help and Mike Mitchell won't be enough to make it happen.

i know this much: the Steelers needed secondary help in the worst way. this does absolutely nothing to address that at all. maybe someday they'll be able to stop the run again, but then teams will just pass down the field like nothing. teams won't need a running game to beat the Steelers with the way they draft.

Just talked to my buddy who is a HUGE Buckeye fan and he is TIIIIIIIICKED OFF! He absolutely HATES that Shazier went to the Steelers. Of course he's also a big Bengals fan.
