I strongly believe we waited far too long to address the o-line, and i'm not a fan of schofield by a long shot.............

This is the 2nd pick I just don't like at all. The 1st, B. coleman, was picked because he's tall. Derek Moye is tall and will beat out Coleman. Jared Abbrederis is a much better WR who's played very well against top notch corners, he'll only get better .

Now we pick a RT because because why? We have plenty of RTs and schofield be never be more than a RT in the NFL. I just think with the RB available and even OG/C or if a CB was the desire Aaron Colvin would be ok.

I think we have 3 hits so far, 1 maybe, 1 meh and one bad.

    Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan St

Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame

Marcus Smith, OLB, Lousiville :hmmm: Not sure about this pick, seems more like a project and the 3rd is too early for that.

    Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers
 Hate this pick, it's like, damn it, we are going to take a tall WR if its the last thing we do! Offers nothing but height. Left Abbrederis on the board who could be this teams next Hines.

    Josh Mauro, DE, Stanford

Michael Schofield, OT, Michigan:shrug: I dont hate it but we're just stock piling RT now. Would have gone CB or RB here.

Schofield played some Guard Senior Bowl week and looked great. He's a really good player and was arguably one of the better players on the board. He will be a starter at the NFL level. For the bottom of the 5th round, that's not too bad.

I think he's a better rt than a guard. He's too stiff and slow to pull and block at the 2nd level. In time he may become a starter but it'll be a while if it does happen. I just think he wasn't a good fit for the steelers. We could have gotten better players at different positions that would better serve the Steelers.

There were also better OG/C type guys if that was what we were going for and honestly I hope not because we are better equipped at the inside OL that at OT.

Completely with you on this BF.

Though I am a little more down on the Schofield pick as we only addressed our need in the secondary with 1 pick so far. and there were plenty of decent CB/S picks available that could have some impact if coached up right.

Since bagp can read my mind and select players I'm targeting, I'm just going to follow his lead here.

This is another case of I swear I saw someone pick him earlier but can't seem to find it. I even did gpguy's little trick. So here he is:

    CB Aaron Colvin, Oklahoma

I really think we need to double dip at CB this year. We can afford to wait on Colvin. A 2nd round talent had he not torn his ACL. Good value here.

I have to agree and my vote goes to............. Colvin, CB

In this league CB is a prime position and a difficult one. Drafting a player in the 6th rd is NOT for this year but for development and hopefully future starting status. Colvin has the talent to be drafted much earlier if not for the injury. This injury could set him back only a year and by his 3rd year he should be vying for a starting role.

We need to address the RB position soon but the value of colvin is just too hard to pass up.

Yep, think we need to double dip at CB as well, I voted Bennett Jackson last round but Colvin looks to be running away with it, he'd be a fine pick too.

    My vote goes to Colvin.

Colvin is good value here. He gets a redshirt year on IR while Ike has his farewell tour, and then joins the roster for 2015. Add my vote to the Colvin bandwagon.

I think we pretty much have close to our first "landslide" vote so far. I'll be leaving within an hour...and if things still sit at this I will call it and we'll move on.
