My two cents. WTF Prisco but beyond that I think MT and the Steelers will let the Lawyers handle it and have no comment. media will try to run with it but Tomlin will confuse them as ever with numerous Tomlinisms...... Obviously

Wow what he said about Tomlin was pure ass-talk, but it wasn't even the worst part. He equated murder with rape, which he may have intended as a way to sympathize with rape victims ("See how much I care about you? See how I know rape is a big deal?") but is actually closer to insulting them. He's speaking for rape victims everywhere, saying they're now as good as dead. I'm no rape victim, but if I knew that's what people thought of me, I bet it wouldn't help my mindset as I worked toward recovery. He's also speaking for murder victims, saying if they'd been raped and left alive, that'd be the same.

I've never heard of this guy before, but wow is he an idiot. This is approaching Warren Sapp levels. How does he have a job doing this? Or anything?

Wow, that's a pretty serious thing to accuse someone of without offereing any evidence of what you know. Tomlin should sue his ass in to oblivion.

 

Snack you are correct...the two can not be equated in any way shape or form. I hope what he meant was that a rape victim's life is changed forever, which is true. Each victim handles this crime in a different way and, as you, I feel that a majority of victims would be offended by those words. The guy is an idiot and I hope he has some kind of fall-out over this.

 

No media outlet is running with this story at all. I do agree with one thing they brought up about the Rice incident. Come to think of if, that's probably why they won't take this and run with it for risk of offending the big NFL and jeopardizing future talks for programming.

That accusations are way over the top....but wasn't there chatter on here a number of months ago that Tomlin has a reputation in Pittsburgh for liking the ladies? Someone had even posted a number of pics w/young hotties where he is cozying up to them. Now the idea of linking this as learned behavior for Sharper is a huge stretch - but just wondering if the puffs of smoke come from Tomlin being a noted player.

And by the way - I think this could all be a bunch of BS and I have no idea about Tomlin's personal life, just wondering if anyone knows anything about Tomlin's past that might make some link to allowing Prisco to make the huge leap he made.

 

I like ladies, but to call me a rapist is more than a stretch. And name a male celebrity and I bet there is at least one (if not thousands) of pictures of him embracing a hoard of pretty girls. I'm pretty sure Prisco's link is as follows:

Tomlin knows Sharper.
Sharper is an alleged rapist.
Tomlin must be at least part rapist.
The end.

 

Look I think what Prisco has done is outrageous. I am not defending it or giving it credibility. What I am asking is did he make the leap based on some past behavior that is not illegal...but let's just say not the highest scruples.

So what I am wondering is if Prisco's leap is as follows - i.e. rearranging you list:

1. Tomlin knew Sharper at William & Mary and they have been friends a long time
2. They were known to be players with the ladies
3. Sharper is a rapist and learned some of his bad behavior by hanging around Tomlin
4. Therefore Tomlin is a guy who has enabled a jerk like Sharper and maybe Tomlin was a rapist as well.

I still think the above points are a huge stretch and it is unethical for Prisco to do what he did .... but I was just asking if anyone knows if there are a lot of whispers that have been heard around Pittsburgh that Tomlin is a player on the scene. And by the way your point about the pics of Tomlin with other women and other celebrities doing the same thing is spot on.

 

Yeah, I bet if you're a celebrity, it's actually impossible to stop stuff like that all the time. You probably take a dozen pictures with people every time you leave the house. To answer your question, I haven't heard any whispers about Tomlin before or since Prisco's allegations, unless you count this, and this is just a question about whispers.

Pretty sure my boat mechanic did some dirty unmentionable stuff to me today and I paid him. Pretty sure I need a hug and a glass of milk but I didn't notice Tomlin around anywhere.

 

The pictures I saw of Tomlin did not include pretty girls. In fact, most of them were pretty skanky looking. Remember the inked up hood ornament? I do think it's ludicrous for Prisco to imply that somehow Tomlin has a connection to Sharper's perverted indiscretions, but the smoke surrounding Tomlin's personal life the last couple of years has given me some reason to believe that there may be a little fire behind the scenes. Hope I'm wrong about that. I'd like to think that Tomlin is 100% faithful to his wife and kids, but celebrity status can be intoxicating at times and we all know that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Shoot, apparently even Bill Cowher had a fling so nothing at all would surprise me.
