I don't know why you guys have to input

    ANYTHING MUSIC
be it lyrics, riffs, or drum beats into a STEELER THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I JUST DON'T GET IT!

It was the summer of love for me when I became a fan only because my favorite little cousin liked the team and I told him "I'm with you. I'm all about the underdog too."

I know it was his spirit combined with mine for him that this team became what it has become?.:smiley1:

It's only weird if it doesn't work.

    Short answer...
    Jack Lambert.:butcher:

Longer answer... (Cause yinz know I can` keep ANYTHING short...:roflmao:)...

Was born into football crazed NorthEastOhio in 1972, to a diehard Browns fan of a father...
Started getting into football, around `77/`78, when the PITTSBURGH STEELERS, were kicking ass, and taking names!!:herewego!:
I loved everything about the team, from the dominating defense, to the amazing offense, and the awesome colors.
Getting to spite Dad, by loving a team he hated, was just a bonus!
At the time, around here, you were pretty much either a Clowns, Steelers, or Cowboys fan.
A few oddballs liked the Chargers, Raiders, or Fins... but... VERY few...
And being raised where I was... Loyalty is key...
You just DON`T jump ship...You stick with your team, thru the lows, as well as the highs,
So I suffered thru the 80`s, while happily learning all about the tradition, and class, that the Rooneys brought to their team!
Have never rooted for another team, and never will!!!
    GO STEELERS!!!:steelflag::yeehaw::herewego::drinks:

We got a care package one Christmas from home(Marienville PA) and in it was two things that would change the course of my life. The first was a long-sleeve Mean Joe "One for the THumb in 81" long sleeved shirt which I wore until it was a short sleeved one and teh second was a Black and gold yarn ball winter hat that I wore until the yarn ball was nothing more than three strings something that some on the board help me find more of so I could share it with my son, pretty sure gpguy sent me the ebay link for them. So from then on the Pennsylvania born boy living in the frozen north of North Dakota was all about everything Pittsburgh.

I stated in my inception to this board, that it was a hand me down thing from my dad who loved their colors and being a man of steel I.e. Welder etc...

The stats mattered none in my youth, til I was old enough to appreciate and embrace the history. Even traded a tops jerry rice rookie for a Webster card in my youth as well as a John Taylor
for a Tunch card... Man I wish I could take those back, but I was building a line! And had no clue to card values!

Always been gung ho! Go Steelers!!!

It's a socially transmitted belief that one should become a Steeler fan. Every shade of color is fixed by tradition including the Black & Gold! :hello:
