I think we will take a late round running back. Who does everyone like?

I would love someone in the the mold of a Verron Haynes. To me he was the perfect 3rd down back because he could run, catch, and block well enough to make 3rd down conversions more obtainable, he was a great pass protector, and tough enough to run between the tackles too.

Some people seem to like smaller backs like Chris Rainey in this role, but to me a bigger tougher guy like Verron Haynes would be more needed.

of course Bell might be a 3 down back, which in that case this is a moot point?

On a side note: I'm down here in Maryland and this RB from Towson does seem NFL caliber to me, I wonder what the Steelers think of him?

The guy I like is out of Missouri, Henry Josey, I think his name is. Day 3 guy, for sure. Smaller stature dude like Mewelde but yet compact enough to give it a go inthis league.

I see Bell as a 3 down back...and I see them going for a change of pace type back unless someone too good to pass up falls late

Ditto. He has nice hands, and is a respectable blocker. Also, he can do just fine toting the rock 20 times per game in a injury pinch.

Bell is our 3rd down RB. That's a good chunk of his value. I hope we don't waste a draft pick on a 3rd string RB when we have gaping holes all over our roster.

More likely than not, they're going to draft a running back. At least, if history is any indicator. I can see an argument either way. Hopefully they don't start drafting for immediate need over looking to the future.

I like Lache Seastrunk he can take it to the house big play ability, NFL Network has been talking about the RB from Towson a lot Terrance West.

I like Seastrunk too. He is a real change of pace from what we've already got, and could be a real win for us as a back up runner when Blount is gone in 2016. Josey and White were the players mentioned earlier that caught my eye. Either of them would be great. IDK anything about West.
