I agree. Podlesh may or may not pan out, but at least it should prevent us from wasting a pick (or two!) on a punter.

Might as well draft a punter...we got what? 9 picks??!!!... As much as our depth stinks, I see only 4-6 spots a rookie could take on this team.

    :lolol:
I'm going to have to side with mac here. I think we could easily find roster spots for:

    1 RB
    1 WR
    1 TE
    1 OL
    1-2 DL
    2 LBs
    1 S
    atleast 2 CBs

Most definite.. we have a variety of holes (depth upon depth) to fill just hope whom we choose is of quality and not fillers! Not sure we could mirror a 74 selection but one would have to agree...it be nice to get close! :smiley1:

Problem I see is, they're apt to trade here and there nullifying the amount of picks.

This is a strong draft, the first 5 rounds they should take the pick they are dealt.

    1 RB -- Yes
    1 WR -- Yes
1 TE -- Maybe, but not definite or a dire need.
1 OL -- I see a Veteran being the swing Guard/Center. I think Munch will work with the current Tackles for a year before going in a different direction. They probably will take a tackle just to be safe though.
1-2 DL -- They will sign Keisel, and they might not sign a NT if Fangupo is a player.
2 LBs -- Maybe, but not a lock they make the team.
    1 S -- Not with Mitchell signing.
atleast 2 CBs -- I see only 1 CB drafted unless they cut Ike.

I agree its it's a strong draft, that is why I think they're gonna use that notion to trade all over the place, but I hope I'm wrong. They've done many trades for reasons I can't figure out... Be them reaches or whatever, I know they're never perfect and no team is, but with a deep draft, I'd like to see some steady Eddie approach for some players that matter

Well let's see in terms of trades up or down:

01 they landed, and I mean really landed_Big Snack, 03 the infamous Polamalu trade. There was Colclough, Reid, Sepulvada, and Mundy. Let's not forget San Antonio Holmes and Wallace & the Shamarko kid just to name a few.
In terms of player trades Leftwich, needed to backup Ben, comes to mind & Antonio Brown.

I would say in terms of trades they generally do their research.

    IMHO
