Shazier wore #48, #10 & #2. Can be infuriating when watching tape of him trying to keep track of who he is. Then again, its usually the guy coming in out of nowhere like a missile.

i stand by my thoughts on him. it's not that i don't like shazier either, just not at 15 for us right now. he had a terrible game against Clemson. playing at a high level against big 10 teams can make a guy look far better than against other conferences. it's easier to rack up a lot of tackles. they simply run the ball more and the receivers and qb's have been better elsewhere during his time at osu. he still had games he was a non factor in. i think we have far bigger needs than this spot for our first pick. i don't think he would hold up as an OLB in our scheme or be effective. sideline to sideline he's quite good, but in straight up run stuffing he's got some larry foote in him. what i mean is he's been known to be carried for several yards until help arrives.

Is Shazier a ILB or OLB? I have seen him listed as both.

Personally, I think he could play ILB or OLB in a 4-3 or 3-4.

I think he would be best as a 4-3 WLB. I do think he could easily translate to a 3-4 ILB too. You could probably bring off the edge in a 3-4, but you probably wouldn't want him engaged with an OT trying to hold the point of attack.

Yeah, but on passing downs, that would be one hell of a speed rush.

I don't see him as a 3/4 OLB, we already have one weakling at OLB in Jones lol.
