Will be watching this very closely, to see if Goodell continues to be a hypocritical clown.

We've all seen the power of unwarranted accusations!

Also interested to see the public perception on this. He seems to be more 'liked' by people and fans then Ben was.

so maybe he won't get the media lynching that Ben got.

Still very bitter about how Ben was treated in his case. No proof at all he was guilty yet was punished and still gets a bad rep.

yes - BR's 1st "incident" still reeks of gold digging by accuser. Not sure what was going on with that 2nd "incident".

But speaking of San Francisco - just a matter of time before a same sex assault incident pops up so to speak - wonder how that would be handled by NFL and the press (crickets I'll assume).

Before playing the victim try to remember that it wasn't until the second accusation that Ben was disciplined.

Yes I do realize that, but all the same I was always confused by that "second offense" type thinking on this. Goodell seemed to use that as the reason to discipline him.

But it was still always just accusations, one..two...or three shouldn't mean for increased punishment... accusations are what they are..unproven.

no proven wrong doing. Without proof either way it's hard to put merit on either the accuser or the accused. Therefore basing a punishment on amounts of accusations is foolish and speculatory!

I read some of the report her story has some holes in it, she also said her and Kap had a relationship in the past.

The initial report is confusing. I didn't see anything that indicated assault. Obviously the police know something the press doesn't. Said she woke up in the hospital and didn't know how she got there.

Yup, weird, but I notice not too much of the off-field incidents have been getting that much media attention this year.....

It was total bs but in the end, I think it did Ben a world of good. Whether he ever broke any laws or not, we'll never know but he was clearly out of control. That suspension woke him up, he seems to have done a 180 since then.

As for Kap, unless something is actually proven out of this, I doubt Goodell does a thing.

True. This is what Ryan Clark was saying all along though with the CBA. We all know that with the money and time these young men have, inevitably there's going to be some "incidents". What would be nice instead of speculating about who received what kind of punishment for similar this-and-that, would be a concrete you get caught doing this "X" happens. That would give the league and players room to maneuver with an outside arbitrator on sticky situations.

Instead we have suspensions for manslaughter and rape "accusations", but no call on an actual indictment.

Now, with what's going on with Aldon Smith, it looks like the 9ers forgot which side of the bay they're supposed to be on.
