Yeah, I was kinda surprised when I was going over my list and he was still there. He's the reason I was so antsy to make my pick.

I think the Murphy pick was a solid pick for the Falcons but I also feel The raider's ( Numbah58 ) selection of CB Stanley Jean Baptiste is a serious rival to the claim of Best value pick to date.

What would you think of us taking him and moving him to OLB?

I REALLY like the guy. He is definitely one of my options at #46. I just don't think he gets there. As for our fantasy mock, Tuitt was just too good of value, which is why I went there instead of Murphy. If Worilds isn't here long term, I would have no issues brining Murphy in to play LOLB.

I do like Baptiste, but I think the 3rd round is exactly where he goes. I think he is a little raw to take in the 2nd round.

Some still view Murphy as a late 1st round type of pick. To get him in the 3rd is great value.

I agree Baptiste is a 3rd rounder. We're talking value here and the raiders needed a CB and they got a solid player meeting a serious need. I also feel Stanley will play sooner and better than Murphy.

No-Way Murphy is a 1st rounder. He may be projected by most as a 2nd rounder but I feel that's because of his position. He's a 4-3 DE ( I say no to moving him to 3-4 OLB ) and he has that "attitude" to match but he's a bit light at 250. The combine showed he's too weak ( right now anyways ) and too slow to drop into coverage or chasing players from the backside. In the senior bowl he also showed he can be " held up " by some top talent and he'll see any better talent in the NFL.

Murphy is a pick for the future more so than the present and Stanley should pay dividends quickly.

Nice pick, Elvis, I really like EJ Gaines. He's flying under the national media radar, but I bet he's high on the list for the scouts.

Thanks :) He's a favorite of mine, and I think he's scheme versatile enough to play for us as well. I think he'll go by pick #75 in the real draft, regardless of what the online "experts" are thinking.

I know I've been more quiet than other years and such...but I haven't been around much lately (though I do check in a couple times at day or so).

I just wanted to pop in again and say everyone is doing awesome this year...and not toooo much delay is happening like past years. And a big thank you to TTF/numbah/NB and all for helping out. I really think this type of system (with the committee/helpers or whatever) works the best...as NB can attest to...this thing can become a lot of work (and possibly turn into a headache).

    So thanks again everyone.

My apologies for dragging out this pick. I had to take a trip to Charlotte and while there and on the way back was made an offer for a trade. Traveling and mobile internet devices doesn't mix well.

I really wanted him for SF. Think its a perfect fit. If I didn't take him there, I would have if he was still there with my comp pick. He wasn't getting out of the 3rd.

Yep, I was in Virginia during rd 1, coupled with a wrong time zone setting and BOOM, problems................

The Jets were the ones trying to trade up with Cajun. To get CJ.

Nice pick NB, Telvin Smith is the perfect 4-3 OLB for the Broncos and may now be the best Value pick of the draft.

The Panthers price was a bit expensive. We needed to add a WR and didn't want to risk loosing either of the two we were considering. We also felt CJ was a perfect fit of the Jets and would have made them complete with the added FA acquisitions.
