 Moats is 10 years younger and can play 2 positions also special teams.

To me Moats would be ILB depth only....that is it.

Who cares if hes younger, hes not as good and doesn't know the system. Harrison as a 1 year filler, take that all day.

He was hurt. His numbers are better then Moats last year while playing out of position with less snaps. If they want to bring in somebody else, I'd be all for it but please, bring in someone better at least. What good is being younger if you aren't as good??? Moats wouldn't be the future anymore then JH would be.

Knowing the system doesn't mean anything when you're old and slow, stop living in the past Harrison isn't a good player anymore.

your logic is off a little. I mean Harrison was cut several times. being younger means you can learn and get better or at least that seems to happen more to younger players than older. I mean I don't think when your 35 a switch comes on and you just get it. maybe a 26 or 27 year old that can happen to.

Exception doesn't make the rule. Moats is as good as he will ever be. Theres not a ton of JH success stories out there.

The stats Harrison had 6 sacks in 2012 and 2 in 2013 playing out of position or not that equals declining ability.

Meanwhile Moats didn't have any sacks while playing his natural position.

Moats would be depth only. The Bills are not doing anything to try to keep the guy and they also need an inside LB.

By the way, just a random fact, this is the guy that ended Brett Favre's streak of consecutive games.

Sorry I don't know how to do anything fancy with that link.

Have nothing against James, but he won't get signed until the last minute, and that is IF at all. There is a reason he isn't in high demand. Moats can play inside, and that's an issue right now. Plus he is a ST player. Harrison may get a shot but I'm not sure it will be until after the draft.

I wish we'd wait until after the draft to continue filling out our roster. It's not like we're signing pro bowlers or anything. They or guys like them will be available later.

I agree, he'll be signed after June if at all. I disagree about Moats though, he's already on the team, Carter.

In his last season here, Harrison got better as as the year went on because he was getting healthier.

I don't think we sign him though due to special teams...

Didn't know much on Moats ref. stats until i read the article @ posting. After reviewing all his efforts this sort of stood out.. 2012-0.0 sacks 2013- 0.0 sacks. Nothing here lets move on!

I did read another article where an old man playing somewhat out of position for a team had 2.0 sacks. ;)

Plus something like 14 hurries and 11 knock downs and sprinkle in 35 tackles. Old and slow seems to be better then the young and spry.

Yeah I seem to remember some old and slow guys who set the single season sack records as well. Fact of the matter is that as a player gets older and some of their physical prowess diminishes they begin to use their heads more and learn more techniques for accomplishing what the once did with pure talent alone. Look at Ray Lewis during the Ravens Super bowl run two years ago. Here was a guy coming back from injury to play his final playoff series and he was all over the place and led the Ravens in tackles during their run. Now I hate the Ravens and am not over fond if Lewis but you have to respect what that man did. He may have been old and slow and his last hurrah but he used his knowledge of the game to be a difference maker out there.
