Interesting. Wouldn't be a bad pick up, imo.

I like it, and I hope we can get rid of Jones and Howling in the process...

    Me like it too.

Good backup, one Steeler fans would take to I think.

    Makes sense.

Why not? He looked good pre-Lacy.

Another one who looked really good against the Black & Gold.

Seeing how they are both FA's...they do not have to get rid of them.

    Me too.

He has had some injuries/etc...but I like him...and think he would be a solid backup.

Hope he can borrow his brothers suit, he'll score a TD ever time.

They do need a veteran RB as a backup, he would be a good signing.

I don't get the point of signings like this. Younger, cheaper, roster filler will be available down the line. Wait until after the draft before sniffing around guys like this and Cam Thomas. We seem to be filling roster spots just for the sake of filling them with warm bodies.

Starks isn't particularly old, and he's proven on the field. It makes sense to have some solid vets in certain back up roles. Let the rookies compete for the spots further down the line - but we can't field a team based entirely on this year's draft and UDFAs.

If you don't like players like this, you really won't be pleased with anything that's left if they wait until the draft.

He's always been talented ... and he's always been injured. I'd much rather wait.

Signing this guy will let us take a RB with a late round draft pick (6th?), and not worry earlier.
Seems injury prone, but serving as a veteran backup he could be very serviceable for a decent amount of $.

He looked pretty good post Lacy too averaging over 5.5 yards per carry last year. I think this would be an excellent signing. He's a big, strong back and would be a good backup to Bell. We'd still need to look at a change of pace back in the later rounds.
