I know Harrison didn't have the best season 2013 for the Bengals statistically. Just wondering what are the chances of the Bengals cutting him?
If we do end up cutting Woodley Harrison could fit in nicely as our backup outside linebacker. Thoughts on if this would make sense?

I'd have no problem with it. he didn't do well because he was out of position with cinci. with the cutting of foote and if they cut loose carter, that money could be enough for JH for a year. interesting thought glenn.

I just don't know if JH would be open to returning to us.

I'd be open to it for the right price. Harrison plays the side that neither Worilds or Woodley seem to be any good at. If it's cap friendly, and he still has some left in the tank, why not?

I brought it up months ago......I thought I was going to be burned at the stake. It makes perfect sense in that scenario...

This would be the issue, I think. The man has a lot of pride.

Sure, he has pride, but did the Steelers do anything to make James hold a grudge? If anything his pride (and his agent overvaluing his worth), cost him some money and a spot on the roster last season.

With Woodley's release, this may have become more of a possibility.

He knows the system and loves Lebeau. Who knows? I think he'd come to finish his career as a Steeler.

Take him back in a second, I'd feel much better with him backing up JJ and Worilds.

I would love to see the Silverback back where he belongs. I think he would be an asset to our LB core. He knows the system and he could be a spot starter, thus giving us three good OLB's.

I for one will welcome the former DPOY back if that could somehow happen.

Hell no, he's washed up anyway this team needs to get younger and faster, even at the backup positions.

We need to get younger, but we will already be fairly green w/Worilds being a first time starter (at least at the beginning of the year) and Jones in only his second year. Some stability would help. I would love to see Harrison back again because the guy is a complete player - even if he doesn't have the wheels to sack the QB the way he used to, he is still solid against the run.

Also - we will likely have to draft an OLB, but they too will be very young and green. Carter certainly isn't an answer and either is Sylvester.

To be clear, I would have no problem doing that if he were to be resigned. But at some point we've got to let these guys go. If you love someone, Blast, sometimes the best thing to do is set them free. ;)

Here's something cool Harrison posted to Instagram a while back. I didn't know he was a RB in high school.

I would welcome him bak in a heartbeat....
Not sure he feels the same, although, he never did rip the organization, after he left, and he did tend to speak his mind...
Fairly sure it would be a reasonable contract, I don`t see anyone else throwing boatloads of money at him at his age, and I think he saw that, when he went to Cincy...
    GO STEELERS!

If I remember correctly, there isn't a great deal to pick from in the FA LB pool, if JH became available, he'd be a good choice, familiar with the defense and bring back some much needed attitude to the D. It would likely only be a 1 year deal, they will definitely need to draft one this year.

I think the bridge is burned. James could have stayed had he wanted to, and actually made more money than he did. His performance in a system that he didn't fit was even worse. He is now a year older....he isn't coming back.

The fan wants to say...yes, lets do it, but the reality is, this doesn't make sense.
