I don't believe money can be discussed (like anyone would know) but they are allowed to start contacting potential interests.

Maybe by tomorrow we may catch wind of who they are targeting.

    Yes.
We're accustomed to tuning out during FA but I would stay tuned this round.

They appear to be clearing cash to move if someone strikes them.

This is one of those rare cases where I actually like the possibility of signing one of the bigger name free agents out there. I think his skill set translates well to what we ask for in our corners. However, it's all about the dollars, and I can't see us competing in the bidding war that his services are going to command. I think our free agency dollars will be spent on positions that have less of a pay premium, and we'll target corner in the draft fairly aggressively.

I wanted us to draft him when he came into the league. ike will be gone if this is the case and we may be able to work him in with some of that cash. similar dollars, younger corner. if ike was still playing at that type of level we wouldn't be wanting the pay cut, since the skills are falling off, that's where the problem begins. same as Woodley.

They should cut Ike and sign Verner then him and Cortez could be the starting CB's.

I agree with this. Always thought Ike played better then he got credit for but he hit a wall last season. As the article points out, Verner would be a lower first year cap hit too.
