I know..sign everyone....but this might actually be a good signing...led them in tackles last 3 years....was their leader on D

Him and Timmons in the middle might be worth the signing.....

Use that Worilds money (he seems to be gone) on Jackson

I have to ask, because you seem to be the wayward home for criminals :lolol: but why was he cut? Money or character?

I think the Steelers are going to surprise some fans, I fully expect a signing that will shock us.

He was cut for money. He had a $4 Mil roster bonus coming up soon. I don't know of any character issues with him.

It seems like the 3-4 isn't the best fit for him, though.

You could use the Worilds money and get change. Jackson should come relatively cheap in comparison.

Yeah no character issues that i know of either. It revolved around money, even though they have a ton of it right now. And I believe he's a better fit for the 43 as well. He is a tackling machine though.

I'm sure Lebeau could call Horton and say "hey what's up with Jackson?"

“D’Qwell has been a coach’s dream as far as leadership, intelligence,'' then-defensive coordinator Ray Horton said last season. "He demands a lot from himself and his teammates. He really is a locker room coach (with) some of the things he says after the game and at halftime.”

EDIT: My favorite quote over on the Browns board concerning DQ "Please don't let him become a Steeler"

I really like Jackson, and I think he is scheme-diverse enough to be a quality starter along side Timmons. If our defense is going to return to prominence in 2014, we can't just rely on young guys and new rookies as our only fresh blood. We're going to have to get a vet or two on the market this offseason.

The Titans would seem to be the obvious landing spot for him, though he's apparently drawing lots of interest already.

Sign him! Sign everyone. Wait, is that taken?

Do good players actually reside in Cleveland?

hack, while I agree its many things you post, let me say this -? Jackson posts big numbers tackling, but he is AWFUL against the run. Say his numbers and for all his tackles, his run stopping ability was near the bottom for starting LBs. good in coverage, but awful near the line. Just saying....

These kind of metrics can be so deceiving. Maybe they run at him all day, but since his NT/DTs and other LBs don't occupy anyone he was on his own and so HIS numbers suffered. Without actually watching the game it is hard to tell.

So what you are saying is sign him and let Timmons go nuts because he doesn't have to worry about always being in coverage.

That was just an assumption on my part. They have a need, money, and Horton is their new DC.

ohhhhhhhhhh all makes sense especially horton as their DC.. didnt kwn he was their new DC... so makes 100% sense as does 99% of what you say ... but then whoever said DL need to call horton about him makes no sense because why wold horton tell DL anything to hurt his chances of getting him ... horton loves him from what i have heard..thanks for explaining why you think the titans will get him ..
