It has nothing to do with Worilds because he's not a accomplished player like Suggs, he can't command the same money.

He has been hurt quite often in his stay here. Finally he showed some monster play this season when Woodley went out. I'd like to keep him but his agent and other teams will make it a tough sell to keep him here. He won't want the cautious type salary to stay IMO. And honestly, that's what he should be offered. A fair amount based off of his catalogue of play mixed in with some heavy incentive bonuses if he pans out.

In all honesty I thought the Ravens might dump Suggs and take a run at a younger cheaper Worilds but that didn't happen. If the Steelers do cut Woodley I would expect Worilds agent to look for a short term deal from the Steelers that fits their cap situation with the possibility of extending it for big money after he proves he can fill Woodley's shoes. Of course that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

I agree. I have a hard time seeing the team keep Woodley, at this point.

no way I'd pay worilds that much. I like him don't get me wrong but I don't think he's that special. 5 mil or under, then show me, what you got for more than 8 games.

I'm not saying that I would pay Worilds that much but it does affect him that Suggs got that type of extension. Granted Worilds doesn't have the track record that Suggs does but it does change the market around. Also, I don't see the Steelers cutting Woodley this year. Way to much dead money for them to swallow I think. Again not saying I wouldn't but I don't see it happening.

Cutting Woodley may not save a cent this year (or maybe it does) idk but the projected savings over the next 3 are roughly 25+mil. Let him walk. I appreciate his services, but he's been just another let down after his reward signing.
