LOL. No I think it was just Boldin he wanted to yell at. I would honestly love to know if when Boldin was leaving the Rats IF we had had the cap space to sign him if he would've came here with Haley as our OC.

Well here is where we are in agreement. I agree completely it shouldn't erase a season of dominance. But unfortunately that is what the talking heads like to do. They love to remember the dominating games or the collection of wins in the big games to write their stories of where someone stands on the pedestal. Look at the Brady/Peyton Manning comparisons. Personally I think Peyton is better, not by miles and miles, just collectively when you look at the stats combined with performing holistically in the clutch, and being winner I give a nod to Peyton. People love to give Brady a BJ because of the 3 SB, yet people forget that he also played with a defense that was Top 10 those last two SB and in all three were in the Top 6 in not allowing points. He had a guy named Corey Dillon who ran for 1400+ yards his last season. Yeah Manning had better weapons, but Brady played on a better all around teams. But all you hear is the well Brady performs in the clutch - of course since his last SB win, Manning actually has a better post season record than Brady and his QB rating is actually higher than Brady's as well - but because everyone wants simple platitudes, they like to say Manning can't perform in the big game.

Even if the Steelers draft a bunch of talented defensive players LeBeau will have them sit on the bench for 3 years, then play them their 4th year they will leave for free agency after that.

Also a lot of the guys on that d were mostly west coast guys from like USC and Stanford right? The reason I say this is that it's almost like Caroll's and Harbaugh's staffs have been able to scout these guys almost literally since high school and know exactly what systems to install to make them as successful as possible. Am I crazy for thinking this?

    An understaffed draft department maybe?
Or maybe the people drafting don't know what they are doing?

That was over 5 years ago. Our defence hasn't been very good since then. Things change. Our defence was great in 2008, but I just don't like that system whatsoever. QB's get the ball out too damn quick these days. We need more guys back in coverage and we need to let our DL get to the QB, something our system doesn't emphasize whatsoever

Ideally we need to get the 3 most expensive players to take pay cuts or they need to be cut free. The D needs to be improved without a doubt.

Is Cam Heyward a talented player? I realize he did get playing time his first three years in the league but he didn't start. I KNOW he had to be better than Ziggy and probably should have started over him.

I was just commenting on players sitting the bench. None that I recall have sat the bench their first three years.
To answer the question, yes, Cam Heyward is a talented player. :-D

i know is a radical choice but if we keep playing with a cap problems and with old players underperforming and overpayed when we will rebuilt our defense ? do they think they will take a pay cut ?..maybe taylor but is taylor still able to play at high level ? with all of these restructuring we will find ourself in the hall and we need an year zero to eat the dead money and start to rebuilt . maybe i'm on to something .. yeah was a hard week end :lolol:

moving money will have to be the first order of how we do anything this year.

cam finally got that attitude he's capable of playing with. ziggy was a #1 too and he had to play a lot as a rookie too. he's done alright for us, but I'd turn that money loose. I'd re-sign keisel to a 2 year larry foote type contract or fosters. he and heyward can be a nice tandum with arnfelt. Williams we will have to see where he is after sitting on IR all year. we may see a draft pick on the line. I'd take woods back cheap too.

This game exposed nothing. We knew before the game that our Defense needed to get better. Use 6 picks on the D!

lol, wouldn't go that far, the picks should favor the defensive side though.
