I don't see the Steelers drafting OLB 2 years in a row, if he slid to them in the second round then yes.

he is fast off the edge. I agree he's a lot like Irvin at this stage of development. I think we do need a ROLB type though. I could see them eventually moving JJ from that side to Woodley's if certain things happen with worilds or Woodley. even after next year. it takes a little different skillset on that side. maybe we would have that year to work on his game. it depends on smarts and how quickly he picks things up. there are definitely several OLB'ers that could be good fits for us out of this draft. maybe they double up if things happen with what we now have. carter wouldn't be hard to replace and if worilds goes, we have room for two.

hi BF, I'm done messin with ya now. LOL;):p:smiley1::cool:

Do you think there is even a discussion about us taking an OLB in the first if Jarvis Jones had had a more productive first season, say 7-8 sacks and more of a nose for the quarterback? He just got manhandled in his first year.

I don't think we do. I think it's offense first. no way back to back 1st picks at 1 spot. I mean two OLB'ers during this draft. one may be a tweener. able to play inside or outside.

I don't think that mock has anything to do with Jarvis Jones, and I don't think we'd take an OLB at #15. Especially not Ford. Fun to watch him, though.

not to highjack your thread but a guy I like and never here anyone talking about is Jackson jeffcoat. what's your thoughts on him? he seems like a Woodley clone to me, without the injuries. the first few years Woodley. never gonna play the right side Woodley. the cheaper than worilds guy that can be an early year Woodley. they seem very similar coming out of college.

Injury history worries me, hard worker though, saw some projections for the 2nd round, wouldn't take him there, if we go offense in the 1st like I think they will, I think they probably go DB in the second. Has a good pedigree though, dad was great. Steelers would love his character too, good guy away from the field. I don't know, hard to say without knowing what is happening with Woodley and Worilds or what comp picks we are getting.

    I AGREE!!!

I have been working on my 1st 4 rd mock for us and had Dee Ford slated in rd two. I think he's a 2nd rd talent that could very well surprise people and possibly become a force like Woodley did. Unfortunately the last 2 times ford has played he flashed some skills so don't be surprised if he gets overdrafted in the 1st rd.

Jarvis Jones--- JJ should not have been drafted as high as he was just like Dee shouldn't go #15, that's where the comparison comes in at and for the record I think Ford will be a better 3-4 OLB than JJ, bigger stronger faster( it appears, ford has a motor).

You may be right. No-way do I draft him at 15.

Now if we could get a great deal moving back to the mid twenties I'd consider taking him there.
