I can see a beautiful plan starting to hatch... so long as Ben agrees to move to Punter.

Blackmon has been suspended twice for violating the league drug policy so you never know.

I was thinking he had been in quite a bit of trouble. Didn't they almost just flat out give up on him at one point?

My official prediction is that Sanders end up with a 1 year "prove it" deal somewhere (maybe here) at no more than 1.5 million. He had his opportunity to prove himself as a viable #2 receiver, and never really did it. New England is probably REALLY happy in retrospect that we matched their offer.

he made $2.5M last yr,and had his best season as a pro. He ain't takin' (or gettin')
a 40% pay cut. He'll do far better than that. No matter how much people think he stinks.

I agree and I bet he would have been a lot more productive in NE, probably would have filled Edlemans (sp?) roll. Regardless, he would have been targeted a lot more. Won't be surprised if he ends up there next season.

He won't be able to get a big deal there though. They are in a little bit of a cap bind and I read earlier that they might get rid of Amendola because he is eating in to their cap space. So I wouldn't think they would pay him a big bundle if they are gonna let a guy go that they think are making too much ya know?

He's not going to get close to Mike Wallace money but he'll get a raise, guarantee you that.

Most teams who want him can afford him. I could see him averaging 3-4 mil a year, but it wouldn't surprise me if he made less. To put it into perspective, Wallace's monster deal only set the Dolphins back a little over 3 Mil in 2013. Even we could have afforded that if we wanted to.

As far as the Pats go, they're sitting a lot prettier than we are in terms of cap space for next year.

Yeah when I read that they were getting in trouble with the cap I was like "HOW?"
