He played his heart out for this team, and helped win us 2 super bowls, including one of the biggest plays in SB History in the NFL and our team. In the end, it comes down to him trying to keep his status on a field somewhere, and he made a move. Those of you Steelers fans calling him a joke and washed up is completely disrespectful, and no amount of your excuses you'll come back with justifying your silly viewpoint will change my mind.

Good career James, you accomplished more in your line of work than any of the knuckle heads on this forum will accomplish in their own line of work.

Hell, I know I'm getting old but I still can't figure it out.

Anyways. Harrison should have stayed with the Steelers and we might have been in the playoffs. He was never fit to play in the Bungles system. It was a terrible break up on both ends. For Harrison especially. Wouldn't surpirise me if he ended up a Patriot for a final season or two.

NICE! Long in the tooth for sure, but would've been a force playing here and in position.

Assuming he's healthy, I'd do that in a second. I doubt he would though.

Never get enough of that play...was there with my son and I almost passed out from screaming so much...

Think about it, Troy's pick 6 vs the Rats in the AFCCG, this and Santonio's TD, 3 of the greatest most exciting plays ever!!

This man gave the steelers everything he had and you are going to disrespect him like that. Ever think maybe if he didn't play through his back injuries he would still be playing at a high level. Yes we made the right call like always with lbers but he will always be a Steeler

I agree. They are not using him like we did. He is an outside linebacker that can rush the passer. I think he would of been better than JJ if we would of kept him this year at least.

First of all James performance is no longer a Steeler concern he will never play at the level he achieved with his comrades in Pittsburgh. I miss Debo and i'm still pissed how it all went down that being said it's time to move on!

Why do so many people assume good player = good teacher?

Jarvis Jones could learn a lot from watching highlight reels of Harrison's career, no doubt. I'm not sure we'd need to bring JH back to Pittsburgh for that, though.

I'm not sure how well he would have played here, or if there would have been much difference in our performance. I was pissed to see him go, of course, but I wonder if we would have seen more "Why aren't we giving JJ a chance?!" and "DL needs to stop clinging on to his vets!" threads... all speculation, of course.

I tend to agree with TTF that Harrison has too much pride to return to Pittsburgh now, though.

Same here. I was trying to figure out what Roethlisberger and the Chargers had to do with James Harrison in the same context.

In that scenario it would be a no brainer. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to come back especially with the reverence he has playing for "Dad". There have been plenty of guys who came back. Compared to some of the guys we had to parade out there he might of been able to make a difference in at least one game and that's all we needed.

I don't know if anyone seen the interview Harrison had when mentioning some of the former pittsburgh coaches. He was almost in tears when the commentator mention Lebeau's name. Couldn't even speak on it. That's says alot about him and much more about the impact Lebeau has on players.

I think he would come back if we extend ourselves. But it would say alot about JJ development and if we bring back Worilds or keep Woodley.
