And if Brown hadn't stepped out of bounds we're in the playoffs. Or if we had beat Oakland, or Minnesota, or...the list goes on. There's not one reason we didn't make the playoffs. A combination of 20 different things has led us to the spot we're in.

Perhaps it was makeup up call from week 1; a bad call on a Texans FG which then resulted in a Texans TD and contributed to a Texans come back win. If Chargers win that game Pittsburgh would have been eliminated one week earlier.

Few things, one, they still had the lead and more time to play, our game was the last play of the game. Second, one was a judgment call and one is math, 3rd, it doesn't change the fact that the refs still effed up the call.

Curiously, Bill Leavy factors in to that article as well. He was the official downgraded in week 1 for a wrong call which seemingly gave points to San Francisco against Green Bay. The quote from Blandino was something like "we have to ensure nothing like this ever happens again." And yet Leavy's crew is right there in the middle of controversy at the end of week 17. Sounds like he's earned himself a Super Bowl spot!!!!
