The Chiefs FG attempt should've been a penalty on the Chargers

If Goodell still insists on taking a draft pick away from us after the way his referees cost us a chance at the playoffs yesterday, I will personally drive to New York and hold a picket sign in front of NFL headquarters!!! Who's with me???!!!

I didn;t watch the full Chargers Chiefs game, and have just seen this.

    Kind of wish I hadn't.

As much as I would like to come along on that ride, I am fairly sure that the only outcome of me seeing Goodell face to face, would result in me spending a large portion of the rest of my life in jail!
(Unlike my younger days, I got too much too lose, now... Wouldn`t be worth it... LOL!)
I DID watch the entire Chief`s game, and was very happy about the effort their backups put into the game.
Until they gave up a 10 point lead in the fourth qtr...
I was literally on my knees praying Succup would make that kick, and give us a chance at a miracle run to the SB...
I didn`t notice the illeagle formation, I was just unbelievably pissed, he missed by less than a foot!
As is, I agree... we had too good of a team, to evr let it come down to that, in the first place.
We have no one to blame but ourselves.
I had given up any realistic hopes on making the Playoffs, when we lost to Balt, the 2nd time we played them..
To me, THAT was a golden chance to redeem ourselves, and pretty much take control of our own destiny...
THEN, as the games unfolded Sunday, I was sucked back into believing, and having hope, again, as I watched the Chiefs players, doin their best to win the game...
    DAMMIT!!!:mad::frustrated:...
Oh well... I refuse to blame the refs, even tho, they clearly screwed up.
It happens all the time, all across the league, and I truly believe it all equals out, over the course of the year.
"The human element" is part of the game, and unless they wanna review every single play, for non-calls, and wrong calls,(which would make the game unwatchable... for instance, you can technically call holding on the o-line, pretty much every play of every game) it will continue to be.
Good teams, play well enough to overcome that aspect of the game 80% or more of the time...
    We didn`t.
We did look better over the 2nd half of the season, and I highly doubt we will start 0-4 again, in the course of my lifetime, so, all we can do, is get better, and go back after it next year!!!
Yes, some improvements can be made to the review system, and making the ref`s full-time employees is definitely a step in the right direction, but they are still gonna screw up calls.
    GO STEELERS!!!

Am I imagining it or not? In the two running plays prior to Succops miss, They ran both plays to the right side instead of up the middle to put the ball in the middle of the field. If the ball was in the middle of the field, that FG would of been good. Any one else notice that?

Kickers tell the offense to move the ball to where they want it to be based on their kicking style and wind.

By the way, Freak, unless I`m wrong(Which is entirely possible), Tomlin has been on the Competition Commitee(However it`s spelled), for at least 3 years now.
I don`t think he inherited the seat from Cowher, Although, he might have. I`m not sure...But, I`m pretty sure he has been on it for at least the last two offseasons...
He has probably been kinda quiet, as a younger member, on the panel, but, I AM glad to hear he`s gonna be more vocal now...
I Just wonder if the senior members throw the "stepping onto the field of play" thing, in his face, when he now wants to make suggestions?:hmmm:
    GO STEELERS!

I was yelling at the TV to run left the previous 5 plays. On top of that it looked like Succop didn't even try to follow through. Could of been because there were 7 guys illegally on one side of the ball or maybe they would of rather of had 3 AFC West teams in the playoffs and not the Steelers. I have all kinds of suspicions. Either way the whole damn thing was not right.

Yeah? Well this year it is the refs with the least bad calls get to work the playoffs

Well if Tomlin lets them hold that over him, he needs to move on. Get a backbone or take a bone up the butt Tomlin

The Rooneys should really be ticked off, know how much revenue that cost them, assuming he makes the next kick.

Dan is 81 years old now so I'm not sure what his role is at this point. I have noticed that Art II was very quiet this season.

I just heard that league sources have confirmed and admitted that they screwed up. Both on this kick and the overtime fumble for a touchdown. To rectify this situation, the league will swap the Steelers #15 pick with whatever pick the Chargers ultimately get. :roflmao:
