Missed it by ][ that much (Chiefs lose)

    Dammit.

    So close for us.

    Then again...

    A) I'm a firm believer that 8-8 teams do not belong in the playoffs.

    B) If Tone could have stayed in bounds a couple weeks ago, we don't care about this game.

    C) If Swish makes a kick or 2, we don't care about this game.

    And most importantly, D) If we didn't drop so many games to teams we had zero business losing to, we don't care about this game. Maybe we care about the Patriot game instead.

    We finished the season strong. Offense starting to look good. Bell has proven he can be the man. Rest up. Train hard. Maybe add a piece or 2 to the puzzle. See ya next year. It's going to be a good one. :)

    The offense will be fine. The defense is what has been killing this team. Too many old players and a couple of questionable young ones (still not convinced that J.Jones isn't a bust) but a tweak here or there and next year could be good.

    I wouldn't believe I'd be saying this midway through the season, but I feel a helluva lot better about this season than last season.

    Good point. We had a lot of so close misses and mistakes. We dug our own grave.

    The good thing is, the Steelers FOUGHT and almost surmounted those gaffes. It bodes very well for next season.

    Just don't start next season so damned sloppy and slow.

    saw a post elsewhere calling for tomlin as coach of the year.are you kidding me?steelers reach 8-8 in spite of him and haley and you want coach of the year?my vote would be for bruce arians even if he didnt make the playoffs.in the dominant nfc he hit 10-6 with one of the worst qbacks in the league......get real...

    Didn't shock me..... the chiefs haven't won a meaningful game all season... I can't even blame ryan fuccup for this one... we put ourselves in this spot, and in the much repeated words of our head coach..... "we're gonna own this one"

    Big difference, team was heading down last season as opposed to up this season. This team played good football after the 0-4 start, got better every week, well, the offense did, defense needs some work.

    I also agree with the 8-8 comments, however, Succups missed "routine FG somehow doesn't make me feel any better. Chiefs won a game they lost and the Steelers snuck into the back door of the playoffs only to find out it was the wrong door

    Too bad it had to end this way guys. I thought we were as good as in when I saw the Chiefs driving down the field. Anyway, there was no quit in our team, we were relevant to the very end. BTW, I'm going to need some help finding my bulldog, I punted him right after the missed field goal, and I don't think its come back down yet.
