Ben gets passed over in favor of Phillip, "Alligator arms" Rivers. Figures.
To paraphrase an old Staubach interview with Phyllis George,
Rivers:" I like having kids as much as Cromartie, I just do it with one woman!"

 

Yeah, Bens stats are very similar to rivers, ben has 27 TDs with 12 picks, rivers has 29 with 10 picks and both have over 4000 yards, passer rating is close with ben at 95 and phillip at 105, but in this last game ben could improve his stats over rivers or vice versa, that's why I think the pro bowl selections shouldn't be made until after game 16 is played....

 

I can't believe Suisham didn't make it only due to missing 2 chip shots all season long. I wonder if he would have made it if he had 2 50 yard misses instead?

Those misses probably cost us a playoff and him a pro bowl.

Guys once again Suishy did not deserve it. There are still 5-6 kickers in the league with a pct either better or basically the same as his and all of them have kicked a 50 yarder or multiple 50 yarders. Take off the Steeler goggles, Justin Tucker is more deserving than Suishy.

As for Ben - nonsense Brady was selected, but Rivers absolutely deserves it over Ben.

 

Especially about Brady.

 

Thats a problem with Ben when it comes to Pro Bowls. As long as Manning and Brady are in the AFC they are going to get 2 spots no matter what. Even if they are outplayed by other QBs, those two are going to get it on name recognition alone. In order for one of those guys to not make it, they would have to be outplayed by a margin that probably won't happen. So in the AFC there's essentially one spot open. It comes down to being in the AFC means that there are 14 QBs battling for a single Pro Bowl spot.

Its a similar situation to playing S. Troy is going to get a spot no matter what. He even got a spot in 2007 despite missing 5 games.

 

That sound good, but that plan usually gets blown to hell pretty early.

 

I thought they still went by conference even though the teams weren't confrenced. Oh wow, he's not in the top 6 in the league then? Yeah he was boned hard.

 

Ben got snubbed! Congrats to AB though, he earned it for sure!

Ben's first half of the season didn't help.... and as previously mentioned neither does the fact that he isn't an NFL darling like Brady, Brees and Manning.
