Encroachment on the field goal

    I'm curious about GB's encroachment call when the Steelers were lined up for the field goal. I watched the replay and couldn't pick up on anything specific that the Steelers might have done, yet Tomlin and Smith were high-fiving on the sidelines. Did they do a hard count or something there? Was it just a stupid mental error by the GB player? Kinda wondering if anyone saw or heard something that made the player jump.

    Don't think we did anything to provoke it. Just a mental lapse by Nick Perry. Tough to say for sure though. I think the coaches were just excited that we got a new set of downs. That way we could get 7 rather than just 3.

    I thought they must have used a certain cadence to draw them off. ST came to play for the most part this week. The fake punt was great and if they did draw them off that was also some great play as well. Also we blocked a fg. Danny Smith is the greatest football coach of all time. I always look for him on the sidelines because he is such a joy to watch. I've enjoyed watching him more than I have the team for most of this whole season actually. LOL.

    Tomlin said that 'they just jumped' in his presser yesterday. He said they were on the road, so he doesn't think the cadence would make much difference in that circumstance.

    Yeah that's why I was saying for the most part. That part was definitely lacking.

    I can't imagine after the fiasco in Baltimore that they would use any fancy cadence with Suisham
