so we won in spite of the coaching staff? wow effin wow i love the fact we scored 7 instead of three really iced the game the special teams unit was playin like crap so in essence had we just got three the st would have given up a virtual chip shot. nah guys coaching is what won this game and got these guys playing inspired football and we could have folded like some lesser coached teams 0-4 start still in playoff hunt whats wrong with the coaching

What has been retarded is your ability to understand statements or possibly just read. I dont think reward was mentioned. I think maybe the idea of getting a team that essentially started 0-8 (preseason included) to believe that they could win and help us go 7-4 after 0-8. Thats a turn around.

Can it not be seen that this team lacks talent? We have holes and this staff is hiding them well.

I hate P.C. anything, but in this situation I would say decency. Why does one come on to this message board to pick arguments? I come to discuss all things Steelers. People have different opinions than I do. Usually, they are wrong, but I am okay with that (last sentence sarcasm).

 

I have been one of Tomlin's biggest critics...and I have wanted his head, based on the job he was doing. But i did leave a caviat: that he was about to show his mettle as a head coach. The injuries this season have again left the cupboard bare. It would have been easy for the team to pack it in, especially after the Patriots loss. But they have hung in there, and the offense keeps chugging along. And for that Tomlin deserves massive credit.

I think Tomlin is having to finally find out who he is as a HC, which may sound dumb because he's in his seventh season. But until this season, his approach was to let the players lead and let his coordinators manage their sides of the ball. What he did, I have no idea. I don't think he did either.

 

A lot of of good things or should've been expected things are coming too late, but hooefully transpire down the road. Mike has his hiccups but this is a good team I believe. Wether or not we get into the post season... I like what we got moving foreward. Albeit with some d efensive help in the offseason

 

I think the big thing is the Packers wouldn't have gotten the ball at all with proper clock management. Bell scored on 2nd down with 1:25 left, if he would have went down at the 1 yard line instead, the steelers snap the ball with:45 on 3rd down and even if they only use 2 seconds on the play they can run the clock all the way down to :3 left on the game clock. They would have used their last timeout and kicked it from 20 yards leaving no time on the clock.

 

Sorry, can't agree with accolades for coach T. Steelers are 7-8 and hoping on a wing and prayer that Balt, SD, and Miami all lose next week (and steelers win against Cleve) to limp into a playoff spot we haven't earned to likely get embarrassed in first round. He has under achieved with the talent and payroll on this team. Injuries happen to every team. Sorry but the dog shines on a dog behind some days.

 

If we get the sixth seed then we earned it! That's a fact and I challenge you to prove otherwise.

IF the steelers make it into the playoffs it will because at least 1 other team choked worse than the Steelers. Whether it is earned or not seems to be a matter of opinion. To me, earning a playoff spot would entail consistently beating teams that are inferior. Seems to be a toss up most weeks with this team.

 

I like Tomlin alot but he is bad at one important aspect of the game.. Clock management! It is not just this game, it is every game. I want him to stay the coach for a long time but he should probably hand over clock management to one of the Asst. Coaches.

 

I will do it from my couch. No charge. Its rather simple.

 

Which means they earned it.
