    INDEED! ONE MORE WEEK BABY!!!!!!

    However, I will say it again....we need Chiefs over Colts as well (or Houston beating Denver, but come on). If the Chiefs have nothing to play for in week 17, the Chargers will have a cakewalk against their scrubs. For all the talk of 'playing to win' no matter what, a playoff team with nothing to play for will not give their best effort (whereas a non-playoff team with nothing to play for will still play to win).

    The best NFL pick expert Ron Jaworski ESPN guy picks Buffalo, Pittsburgh, NY Jets but he picks Baltimore. He'll go 3-1 because the Patriots will go after Flacco's weak knees.

    Focus insert energy.

    Jets over Browns +
    Bills over Dolphins ++
    Steelers over Green Bay +++
    Patriots over Ravens ++++

    Done ^^^^^^^

    Lol, this has clearly been our strategy all along. We know we play better as underdogs, so Haley and Tomlin have deliberately have us lose all these games for the sake of a big reveal in the play offs. Nobody messes with us.

    in an aside, wow, did they drop the ball when they flexed out the Pats/Ravens- which should be a bloodbath- in favor of the Bears game.

    I believe for some strange reason we need the chargers to win both their games.

    LMAO!!!:roflmao:Almost rollin on the floor laffin!!!!...
    Not sure if you`re a South Park fan, but didjya ever see the episode where Cartman starts a diet fad, by shoving food up his butt, then crapping it out his mouth?!?
    It immediately came to mind, upon reading your post!:applaud:
    Anyhow... I`m pretty much done with holding out hope for a Steeler`s playoff appearance.
    If it happens, AWESOME!!!...
    But the odds are so far against it, I can just relax, and hope we win the games we have left, and know that we really screwed ourselves out of any REAL shot at the post-season, in the first 4 weeks, and in a couple games since then.
    Raiders/Dolphins, come to mind, but the second game against the Cravens, really put the whole dream to rest, in my head... That was the best second chance we could ask for and...
    Well... You know what happened...
    I just wanna see us win our final two, and hope we learn our lessons, and start strong next year.
    (As much as I hate to echo a Clown`s mantra..."Just wait `till next year")...
    GO STEELERS!!!

    i think they need to finish 8-8. if they win both of their games that gives them 9 wins and that eliminates the Steelers since they can only get to 8 wins, but i do believe they need to finish 8-8. they also need the Jets to win out.

    Since the jets are eliminated from the playoffs, whether they beat the browns or not has no playoff implications for the steelers at all, who cares if the jets win this week, they are no help to us what so ever........

    That's not correct. The Jets need to win both.

    Take notice, that scenario was written before the rats beat the lions that eliminated the jets, like I said, the jets can do us no favor by beating the browns.......Period..

    Baltimore Ravens: Must lose two of their next three games – remaining schedule is tonight at Detroit, vs. New England, and at Cincinnati.

    Miami Dolphins: Must lose both games – remaining schedule at Buffalo and vs. New York Jets.

    San Diego Chargers: Must lose one game – remaining schedule vs. Oakland and vs. Kansas City.

    New York Jets: Must win both games – remaining schedule vs. Cleveland and at Miami.

    Since when has two teams, both eliminated from the playoffs playing each other have any impact on the playoffs, the only impact either team can have is as a spoiler against a team in playoff contention, the jets were relevant for us when they were beneficial to us in a 3 way tie with the fish, now they are of no help....

    If Cincinnati beats Minnesota this week and they are locked in the playoffs already when they play the Rats, then the Bungles will fold like a lawn chair against the Ravens if it means keeping the Steelers out of the playoffs. There is no way they want any part of the Steelers again this season.

    That's why we have to root for Minnesota the beat the Bengals also.

    No, the Steelers lose any tie with the Dolphins at 8-8 unless the Jets are in it. The Steelers need the Jets to Finish in an 8-8 tie with Miami, so that the Jets are the 2nd place AFCE team. the Steelere win that tie with the Jets, but it 8-8 Miami is the 2nd place AFCE team, the Steelers are done.

    The Steeleres absolutely need the Jets to bear Cle.

    There is really no scenario where pitt can win a 6 seed, even in a 4 team 8-8 tie, rats, fish, bolts, pitt, even if we win the division tie breaker against the rats and eliminate them, Miami owns the head to head tie breaker over both the steelers and chargers, once you research all the scenarios the steelers are already eliminated and Miami is in the best position with the jets eliminated to be the 6 seed..........

    Does anyone remember the year after we lost to SD in the conference championship - 95 I think it was - the entire next season was played under the slogan of "four more yards"? And the we went to the Superbowl that season.

    In light of how different this picture would look if we had beaten Miami, I want to see the slogan for next season as "one shoe size smaller".

    Buy the Ravens beat the Dolphins and of the group the steelers have the best conference record. When it comes down to a scenario like this the Dolphins would have needed to beat the rats for head to head to matter.

    In a three way tie two teams from the same division square off first soThe Jets would eliminate Miami then down to two ,Steelers would eliminate the Jets based on head to head tie breaker. It's pretty simple.

    The Jets are eliminated because they can't win any tiebreaker. But they are eliminated from participating in the tie breaker process. If they're 8-8, they will be considered in the tiebreakers with hypothetically an 8-8 Miami, an 8-8 Pit and/or an 8-8 Balt. They just can't win any.

    though I'm suspecting your post is partly fainted ignorance to stir up the masses.
