Yep, good foundation here, not as bleak as some think. To me, this is a mirror image of what Cowher went through, did a little retooling and we were back on top, same thing now, except we are ahead of the curve, we have Ben.

our biggest problem was not having heath early in this season on offense. I think that was the one thing that held us back the most. the offense is just young at a lot of spots. a couple of additions in the darft to go with what we have and they will be fine. the defense needs a little more added but we still have a good mix there of young and medium age players. we could use some more youth at a few positions but no, we are not miles away.

    Yes, this felt good.
Got to see some Blitzburgh defense again, and kinda felt like Karma was on our side...
Everything that went wrong for us earlier this year, went right for us tonight...
And VERY glad to see we still played with heart, and pride, in a division game, at home...
    When it "didn`t matter"...
I`m proud of our boys, even if I don`t know who "Gibson" is...
As happy as I am, I can`t help but feel, there is a bit of "smoke and mirrors", goin on here...
We honestly got lucky to get off to the start we did...
At leaast we managed to finish the deal...
Screw it... I`m not gonna pick apart the things I wish we coulda done better...
We beat the division leaders, at our house, tonight...
    PROPS TO THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!
Wish we could have played with that kind of heart, and pride, all year long...
    GO STEELERS!!!

I remember those 1998-2000 teams well. They went through three O coordinators in 4 years before finally giving up on Kordell.

We dominated them and then played to not lose the game in the end. I felt this gave them some late yardage and points but it was the right call. Of course I wanted to put 45 on them but it was a great win!!!!

They still need to run the ball more effectively. Our top RB averaging 2.5 isn't going to cut it. We were also gifted 14 points which doesn't happen on a regular basis. Sorry to be a downer, but it just didn't appear to be the dominating performance the score would have indicated.

I think this was the first game we played with some intensity. The defense was hitting and getting to the ball. We gave up some yardage but at least we tackled the catch and didn't give up any hugh plays.

The bungles looked like the same old bungles. Hence they will be eliminated their first game of the playoffs.

Good team win! Hopefully it continues the last two contests going into next season on a winning note.

The last defensive effort was great. Troy chasing their running back down from behind. Our secondary out there swatting down passes, no flags. No silly dancing. It was serious time.

Great win for our team! Our game plan was good and both sides of the ball played well. I wish we could play like this every week!

It was a nice win, no doubt. But, if you take those 2 big ST plays out of the game, this is much closer.

No doubt. But those kind of plays have also been the ones you want to have happening for you, and not against you, to have a strong season.

When I go back and check our winning seasons, I see a lot more of them than I remember off hand!
