The only way to rank QBs is by the era they played in, I watched Unitas play his whole career throwing the ball in an era when teams ran the ball first, he was the best in that era, in this era the NFL is a throw first league, and there are plenty of slinging QBs who are getting it done, Manning isn't any better than brady, brees or rivers for that matter when it comes to throwing TDs, the edge goes to the QB with the best receivers, and in that context Brady and Rivers are getting it done with less, over manning and brees.......

Nothing, but to say Bradshaw is better than Brady or Manning because he has 4 SB's is a bit of a stretch.

I don't understand why some people look at Brady's receivers and say he is getting the job done with less. Are these guys not as good as some of the other receivers just because they aren't big name veterans? It is very possible that they are just as good as some of the ones that have come before them.

This is one of those generation things, people who grew up on the game today have a hard time considering anyone better then the current stars. Not meant as an insult, just the way it is but TB is in the conversation every bit as much as Brady and Manning, guy was really good. Can't go by stats, totally different game, I'd actually give the edge to Bradshaw, was much harder to play QB then.

We've kind of digressed but, if all things are equal except the QB, which one would you want at the helm of your team? I'll take Montana, P. Manning and Brady in that order. Bradshaw and Favre threw too many INTs. Elway, I feel, had too big an ego for a team sport, Fouts is the king of throwing INTs in the end zone (though they don't keep that stat). I'd probably put Unitas 4th and Marino right on his heels.

jim Kelly ( played a lot of his career in another league) still went to 4 SB's in a row. people forget about the USFL years for some of these guys.

aikmen? where does he fit? he was a good qb in his days. that list of brady and manning are up to interpretation for sure. the list could go on. stats are stats and championships are why they play. lot's of players are special, but they play the game for the ultimate goal, that's to win your team a championship.

Aikman was great too, as good as Brady and Manning, maybe better. Everyone gets caught up in Brady and Manning because they have become the poster boys, they are not on an island by themselves.

    How about Otto Graham?
The Browns' record with Graham as starting quarterback was 114–20–4, including a 9–3 record in the playoffs.
He still holds the NFL career record for yards per pass attempt, averaging nine.

He holds the record for the
highest career winning percentage for an NFL starting quarterback, with 0.814.
    Graham
won seven championships in 10 seasons and reached the championship game in every year he played,
never missed a game in his career.
Might have played for the clowns, but gotta respect those stats.
