Must be a ravens fan trolling after that dominant performance.

Great players come up with those type of catches, Sanders didn't, thus our season is all but over

what's the point of making the playoffs when Marsha and Manning will destroy our secondary, do we really
want the cheats to have their way with us again? I think not just let this team die for this year, it's over!!

We should never play another game till we have All Pros at every position and are guaranteed a Super Bowl win, wouldn't want anyone to have a let down.

You would think 2005 would teach people something.

Well, we for sure have to go 4-0. We dug ourselves a deep hole, and now we need some help to get out. Is it possible? Hell yeah. Probable? eh... But I'll be a few beers deep waving my towel the rest of the way hoping that we make it:herewego:If we don't I'll get really excited about the draft, pimp our new rooks for the next few months, and go absolutely crazy for the exact same Super Bowl run I hope for every year! Go Burgh!

Nope, if Pit and Balt are both 9-7, the Steelers win the TB, either on div record (if Balt loses to Cindy) or on common opps (if they lose to anyone else ).

I just ran the ESPN playoff simulator with the results that I expect for the balance of the season, and the Steelers going 4-0 (which I'd like to be able to expect). I came up with us as the 6 seed. This result hinges on Indy getting enough of its mojo back to beat Tennessee in Indy tomorrow. I also came up with a plausible but unlikely result that gets us the division at 9-7 if the Bengals lose at San Diego (which I think is 50/50) and home against the Ravens in week 17. I was also able to get us in at 8-8 with a loss in Green Bay, but a LOT of other 50/50 games need to fall our way.

There is still a chance, but it almost certainly requires a 4-0 stretch run.

Come on. In 2005, even when we were on the ropes, we knew we had a Superbowl contender.

    Bad comparison. Horrible.

The main reason that season got a little out of hand was because Ben got hurt and missed some time. After he got back and we lost to the Colts from that moment on it was all business.

I might be blind but I believe the steelers control their own destiny. IMO, i think the steelers will be favoured to win at home the next 3 out of 4 games. Green Bay scares me somewhat but they'll be in shambles too. I see it more likely steelers winning outright then any other Afc team.

Baltimore has a really tough schedule which includes patriots, bangles and going into Detroit. The odds of them going 4-0 will be tough.

Tennessee playing colts, broncos, cards then two very weak teams in which I don't believe they could be called automatics with their qb situation. I believe the best they do is 3-2 but it wouldn't shock me if they lose outright.

San Diego they need to win outright (5-0) to eliminate the steelers and they play tough games colts, giants, broncos and chiefs.

Bangles have the toughest of all I could see them losing 4 out of 5 easily with their schedule San Diego, steelers, ravens, colts I could see them blowing it all together which would free up another spot between the teams above if they should happen to lose three in the next five which is probably going to happen.

steelers in a very good spot should they win out.

I think the injuries to our offensive line, our porous secondary and our propensity for falling behind by double digits in the first quarter will cost us two of our final four games. Hope I'm wrong but our secondary gives up way too many big plays and now we've apparently got Whimper at LT and Wallace at C for a game or two anyway. And we ought to just go into each game by skipping the first quarter and spotting the opponent 10 points. Just not feeling it.

BS, guarantee you people were saying the same crap then as they are now. What about the Giants, anyone think they were a SB team? Knocking off NE no less. Point being Ray, we're still very much in it.

What I'm saying falls into the Reality Check category,,,Marsha already ate our secondary for lunch, Manning will do the same, but if you guys need to see it again have fun with that, then they'll be 20 threads crying about how bad they looked in the playoffs. Then another 20 threads about firing and getting rid of everybody
