I'm pretty impressed with Bell at this point. He had a heck of a game tonight and took a heck of a shot trying to score.
When was the last time we had a rookie RB have the kind of impact he has had this season?
Those that are saying he's a bust or calling him Tinker Bell need to man up and admit they were wrong!

I agree with what you say about Bell, but why do you feel the need to call other fans out?

He gave it his all for that score. You can tell that he was a rookie giving it all for it. Reminded me of a rookie Ben and it's been a ling time since we've had a RB do it.

The travesty is they actually took the legal touch down away because his helmet came off from the viscous hit!

Not sure, but do you think it was the initial hit or his head hitting the ground that knocked him out?

The hit(s?) to the head IMO. He looked unconscious on the way to the ground.

Agreed. I understand the rule is to protect him, but what happened was that he took a blow to the head, got a concussion, was possibly knocked out, and fell into the end zone while holding onto the ball. That is a touchdown. If anything he should get bonus points, not points taken away.

It's an unfortunate situation. Maybe something can be tweaked. For now, I'll settle for tweaking Manny Sanders' hands.

I give Bell mad props, he was great tonight. His catching out of the back field is great, great at picking up blitzes, and had some solid runs tonight. Get well soon young man.

Are you serious....re-read your game thread posts, all you did was call people out with each good play by Bell.

I can't tell if you're being serious, but I think you are and that's a little disturbing.

That was all in good fun though. I wasn't suggesting that people needed to man up and all that. I like Slickster and he knows that I wasn't trying to call him out. There was a few of us ribbing him over that.

Say what you want about Bell, but when he starts having consistent success throughout the course of his career, I will look back to last night's game as the night that LeVeon Bell proved his mettle as a Pittsburgh Steeler against our most hated rival. He laid it all on the line last night and knew he'd be taking a shot from multiple defenders as he completely sacrificed his body to attempt to score the touchdown late! Bell came to play last night, as did Heath, Beachum and a few others.

LeVeon Bell! Welcome to the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!!

I am most impressed with Bell's effectiveness as a receiver.

This is actually a dimension in the passing game we've been missing in the last few years. Not to say we've not had the receivers - Mendenhall could catch, and was often open - but Ben has started to look for the RB in the flat more now, and Bell has proved that it's not a worthless throw to make.

    :this!:
I wonder how the season might have started out differently with a healthy Bell in the lineup. Perhaps 2-2 instead of 0-4?

:applaud: Bell is a tough sob, he didn't miss a single game in college, he's just run into a little bad luck this season. Anyone still questioning his toughness after last night is an effing moron.

Probably the leading reason they drafted him, that and they liked his ability to pick up yards after contact, 2 very important qualities for this team.
