So the last three weeks I have watched the game from a feed since it was not on TV at home. We won the last three games. However tonight's game is on TV and unless the wife is ready to leave on time I will be stuck at the in-laws till the game is over.

So do I watch it on a feed because of superstitions or watch the game on the TV because it does not matter where or how I watch the game just as long as I watch? What should I do :ratssuck:

Superstitions are a bunch of Hooey.

Watch it at home. Without the in-laws. Alone. Your wife has no other option but to leave on time.

Exactomundo! I have to leave an engagement early because of the game. I have to get home and get the baby to sleep. I will NOT be deterred and this is a sacred event not to be tainted by in-laws. LOL.

    You have two options.

    1. Get your wifes blessing to leave for home and watch the game on TV
    2. File for divorce and then leave to watch the game at home on TV.

What if she's hot and she says "no?"
I guess it then depends on his options (woman-wise that is).

    Ok here is my situation:
Everyone is here at MY house. Dinner is in 30 minutes and I'm scared that they'll want to stay for the game. My mother in law and wife's uncle are the kind of people who NEVER stfu. And I mean never. There isn't more that 30 seconds of continual silence when they get together and it doesn't matter if the game is on or not. :frustrated:

Just keep shouting at the TV so loudly they leave out of embarrassment.

LOL. I'm not exaggerating at all here...for the last 15 minutes I've been sitting here with my stopwatch and timing how much silence there is. The most I've gotten is 12, TWELVE,1-2 seconds of silence.

    Its THAT bad.

    Yes.
Anything is better than rehashing old recycled stories of family Thanksgivings past.

Ok Bobby here's what happened to me. Last night we had to go to my mother in law's to have dinner with my wife's mamaw. Then today we had to go to my wife's dad and then leave at about 4 and go to my mamaw's and then leave there to be at my wife's mom's AGAIN for HER dinner. So I was gonna have to leave early and be back home in time to drop Ben off at his Auntie's house and then get home and feed the baby and put her to bed so my wife can leave her mom's and go shop with the rest of the zombies that think it's worth it to brave a sea of morons to save a few bucks. So I just decided to skip the one tonight since I went to the one last night. I really don't get to enjoy the holidays since so many people in our families are divorced. But they would be like "why don't you just watch the game here?" but I'm sorta anti-social about the games and I like to watch them in peace and absorb what's happening. I don't like to explain to people that there's no such thing as a 5th down and other things. LOL. I feel your pain my friend. Maybe next year you can tell people that you will come to THEIR house if there's a game on?

I have a headache from a ton of people at our house today. I declared that if they were still here, they would have to not talk once the game started. They now have all left. ahhh! Here We Go!

    Mac`s got me beat...
I was about to reply that you could just crank up the tv( preferably surround sound), and drown them out...
    I like Mac`s option MUUUCCHHH better! LOL!:roflmao:
And p.s., BFT, I feel ya.
My girl`s Mom was gracious enough to let us Steeler fans watch Sunday`s game, during our early Thanksgiving day dinner, last week, but, I`m like you, I would prefer to watch at home, without distractions.
Oh well, it was all good.
    GO STEELERS!!!! CRUSH THE CRAVENS!!!

LOL, thats a lot of activity. Im not as bad since 1/2 of my wifes family has moved away and we don't speak much to our side, but in recent years the holiday dinners have fallen to us since we are the last ones here.

But I agree about watching the game. I like to do it in silence. Keep the banter as light as possible and when you do talk, talk about something relevant to the game. My mother in law and her uncle will talk about EVERYTHING, not just football. Football games are a social event.

Good news though, everyone has bailed even though my wife invited them to stay :)darkness:). Luckily its a late game and everyone didn't want to be out that late. Had it been the 4:30 I'd probably be stuck.
