I think we should blitz him more often imo. He had a great game today. I hope this trend continues because i wasn't a fan of bringing him back.

It's amazing how 1 good game erases 7 years of crap, i still thinks he's garbage lets see if he can do the same thing vs better teams. Buffalo and Stains are on the decline, he still hasn't proven anything to me

Pay close attention to the wonder boy Ike Taylor. Continues to be a liability. Oh darn, hope he doesn't read this it might bruise his ego.

I will readily admit I groaned when I saw that Allen had been brought back. How wrong I was.

 

I agree that his last season here he started showing improvement for sure. But I also remembered how horrible he looked in the past and was not happy when we brought him back. I'm starting to change my thinking on that though

 

I'm on record as a fan defending Willie, and I'm on record as one who was very happy he returned to the fold.

Willie is NOT a great cover corner, aka Revis,Sherman or even Ike. He will get beat from time to time but his value is he knows this defense, is a great corner in space which leads many to think he'd be a very good safety. In fact his tackling skills and blitzing skills just add to this thought.

Willie Gay is an asset to this defense and just because he isn't an all-pro corner doesn't mean he's crap.

You're right, he's not the cover corner Ike is, but his ball skills are WAY better than Ike's!

Their dline and ILB are healthy this time around so it will be surprising if we have the same success running up the middle.
