Our defense should be good against the ratbirds!

Our defensive backs usually plays 10 yards off the ball. This could be good against Baltimore. Flacco relies on lobbing those hail mary passes down the field and hoping his receivers come up with the ball, (which surprisingly they do alot). IF our DB's don't let those receivers get behind them and prevent the big play we should be alright. If Ben continues being the confident leader of the offense that he has been during this win streak, we will win!

This is a winnable game, but we tend to stink on the road.

You're right though, Flacco completely relies on the big play to score points. I think Jacoby Jones was still out last time we played, he's always a threat to go deep, as is Torrey Smith.

Ray Rice isn't the RB he once was, if you limit him, Flacco struggles.

Make Joe Flacco try to beat you.

Honestly, what they did with Tyrod Taylor Sunday concerns me. They had some success with that, and I just hope the front 7 shuts that down early. Please don't make Tyrod look like Terrelle...

The Ravens offense also relies on PI calls as a way of moving the ball, far more than other teams I think.

Perhaps just my black and gold lenses?

I've always believed that. It's not a statistic that I've found easy to verify, though. This site does verify that they have received the most penalty yards, though I'm not sure of the veracity of their data.

NE Patriots with the largest disparity, what a surprise. And the one that doesn't go their way makes national news!!

I'm worried about Al Woods filling in for McClendon. He might not see the field much if we are in our nickel but if the Ravens line up in a traditional formation (21 personnel) it could be an interesting day.

You'll see us use the nose at 0 tech much more often at 12 personnel, though down and distance and tendency is the deciding factor really. Woods is a swiss army knife. I've always liked having him for depth and I think he'll be OK. DL will definitely adjust the game plan between he and Ziggy accordingly. This is a good opportunity to see Fangupo anchor the line late in the game.

You guys beat me to the punch. I was going to say the officials are usually good for at least 50-60 yards on top of Flacco's passing yards. I would expect at least one to two terrible PI calls Thursday night against us.

If we don't turn the ball over and force them to drive the length of the field for scores we win.

Stop the screens on 3rd down and the Rats won't be able to advance the chains.

I saw that. especially with the play arrow over his face. LOL

I just saw tomlin hasn't named woods the starter yet at NT. we are quite thin on the DL this week. keisel may or may not go this week unless he'd have to. they say what he has is quite painful.

they may use woods at DE also and fangupo may get some serious time. he is DE capable too. not so much as a pass rusher.

they brought green back at cb for brown. I thought they might have brought arnfelt up, since they have Vandyke back.

The Steelers had problems this season covering the deep pass both safeties being out of position, and the Ravens can go deep with Jones and Smith that would be my biggest concern, not worried about Ray Rice running the ball.
