Does it seem to anyone else that the NFL schedule makers favors Baltimore for some reason? Does the NFL not want the Steelers to win any more titles? For instance, Pitt has to travel home from an away game , spend a day at home , then travel to Baltimore, all in a short week. NFL rules state that a visiting team must be in town 24 hours before the game. This has happened before a couple of times where the Ravens got to stay home at different times. Did anyone else notice this or am I imagining something?

Hmm never knew the rule about 24 hrs is that to ensure there are no chances of the team not making the game on time?

I don't see much of an issue with it. If they had to travel across the country, maybe, but what's the flight to Baltimore, 20 minutes? I don't think there's any type of conspiracy by the NFL.

Not as long as the walk off the field for the Browns, I'd wager.

I doubt they even had a flight, more than likely they took a bus over. You can drive from Pittsburgh to Cleveland in 2 hours on a bus.

Pittsburgh to Cleveland, back to Pittsburgh, to Baltimore, isn't crazy travel. You can drive to Cleveland in two hours, and I bet they fly to Baltimore, but you can easily drive there from Pittsburgh in 3.5-4 hours tops.

Yeah it stinks to travel now. But the Steelers play 3 of the final 4 at Heinz Field. That is going to be huge, granted they win Thursday.

They usually do take a bus to that game. Heck, they would probably spend more time waiting on the Tarmac at Pgh International just to try and get there.

I wouldn't say the NFL actually "favors" the rats since they didn't let them open their season after winning the sb on their own turf and made them go to Denver to do it. The NFL favors the Pats and whatever team manning is playing for. I still think roger would rather the rats win than us any day of the week though.

I don't think it matters. Just get it done on the field, no excuses.

It may be a slight disadvantage, but I don't really see a conspiracy. Funny there was a thread about this, because it is the first time a team has had to play a road game Thursday night after playing an away game on Sunday.

It wasn't the NFL, though, it was the Orioles doing.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there's a conspiracy. It has something to do with Castro but I'm not quite sure what.

I recall hearing Buffalo had a formal grievance into the NFL for their schedule, as they had a large number of opponents who either had a Thursday night game or a bye week prior to playing Buffalo, and they thought this extra prep time for so many opponents was an unfair advantage. Back-to-back at Cleveland and Baltimore seems pretty easy.

Better than a flight back to Denver after blowing a 24 point lead at halftime.

Tough to convince me that there is a conspiracy regarding scheduling against the Steelers when 3 of their last 4 are at home.

Well that could be something to do with the ****ty field at Heinz.

The HS football championships were there this past weekend. Remember years ago when that marked the beginning of the end of a decent field at Heinz? Typical sloppy November weather combined with 4HS games, plus PITT, plus the Steelers usually doomed the playing surface. I've noticed lately that the NFL schedules the Steelers to avoid playing at home during the weekend of the HS games.
