    HELL NO!!!

we're gonna get the 2nd seed
TN won't beat indy in indy nxt week
Oakland can't win in dallas on thanksgiving
we eek out the typical game in Baltimore but
i'm thinking a bigger win margin could happen

ok, to be coldly rational about this -

I heard Labriola on the radio saying that you had to be 10-6 to make the playoffs, or something to that effect. Not this year, Bob.

Looking at the pack of 5-6 teams, I feel quite confident that none of them is going to run the table and go 10-6. Neither do I feel that any of the 4-7 teams are going to go 5-0 and finish 9-7.

Looking at the teams involved, and their respective schedules, I feel quite confident that 9-7 is going to get it done. It might even get a AFC North championship done. In fact, I would not in the least bit surprised that the last AFC wild card is an 8-8 team.

So, if the Steelers win any 4 of their last 5, it says here they are a playoff team. If they go the right 3-2, and get some help, then they still might make it.

It's ridiculous, but to cop a phrase I believe we've heard a couple or maybe several hundred times- "the standard is the standard".
And right now, standards are pretty low.

What the Steelers have going for them is that they are probably playing the best football of those 5-6 teams right now.

impressive win today ..perhaps our best win of the season...we do have a much easier schedule than the bengals .. no one looks any good or at lease dominant in our division... i think next week (thursday night) could be the make or break for the season.. good luck boyz

Well then quick and cancel the season before the end of the game.

Seriously though when multiple teams are tied it's not as straight forward as the Steelers lost to both. Since Baltimore (and a slew of other teams) is also 5-6, There could be a situation where both Tenn and Oakland finish behind Pittsburgh.

not that it matters whatsoever, according to the NFL redzone channel it is true that whoever wins Raiders/Titans would be the sixth. I have to assume they know what they are talking about

I'm not at home but when I get there I'm going to check out the tie breakers. Just glancing on my phone you first have to break the tie within the division. That's why Oakland could win but since SD is also 5-6 they may be eliminated head to head with them before they even face a tie breaker with Pittsburgh.

Probably. But I would have also assumed that Donovan McNabb would know that there is overtime and that he would know the rules.

I meant if they both go to 4-6-1 which could happen if the raiders keep them out of the EZ right now

Why do we always have to get in this position of tie breakers?

That would be awesome. If we can beat the bungals and finish 8-8 after the way we started, I'd be happy!
