Ben Could Make Concessions On Current Contract

I don't think Johnson was signed past this year anyway. spaeth would be a 900,000 savings. foote a mil. and a half. foster a mil. and a half. pouncey is in the last year of his at 4.5 mil. coming off major knee and ankle troubles. gilbert at 870,000 I think. grad a mil. and a half. carter around a half a mil. spence a smidge over half a mil.. those guys alone would be about 11 mil. cut. get a couple of more from troy and ike and the mil. and a half carryover from this year and we are at about 14.5 mil. there will be a little dead money, but still a big cut. re-sign velasco and worilds and maybe Wallace.

 

Yeah Johnson was signed last Spring, but just for 1-year, he will be off the books unless they sign him again.

IMO they're going to try and get more than just a couple mil from Ike, Troy, and Miller. I'd like to know how much total we had tied up this past year in "injured player replacements", but it was a lot more than we had originally allocated for.

They will also probably try to re-sign Cotchery and Dwyer as well as one or two others at the vet. minimum.

 

Wishful thinking.But not in professional football, especially with
Ben's overall record. The Steelers are going to pay dearly.

Anybody that has followed my posts know
that I have said this for a long time. I would like
to revisit all negotiations to Woodley, Simmons, Troy
Ike,Kiesel and others. How did we ever get caught in this situation?
What protocol was used in evaluating these unbearable
contracts. Has any of these lived up to the money they are
collecting?
