Bumble Bee Uni's are back

I dig the throwbacks. They're different.

I'm just waiting for Nike to design an Alt with giant hypercycloids on the shoulder pads or something. You know they're itching to screw with this jersey.

 

Heh, I'll have to dig up some of my (very) old action figures and set them up in battle pose in front of the TV. Luckily we have an Ultimate Bumblebee that is probably 4 times bigger than the Megatron figure.

 

TTF How did you get that picture of my wife? You don't have the lingerie shots of her too, do you?
GULP!!

 

Those unis are so ugly that I think the other teams try to stay away from us. Works good when they are trying to tackle our guys so, wear em!

 

All I pray is that these most ugly uni's be burned......... never to return.

Isn't 40 yrs enough to be considered throwback...... Bring back the 73' uni's

Hey I collect 80s action figures. Do you have any you want to get rid of? Masters of the Universe and Ninja Turtles are my main loves. I also love Thundercats and Ghostbusters as well.

 

For those wondering if the team will return to the previous throwback uniforms next season the answer is no. The league adopted a new uniform rule this last off season that limits team to having one helmet. So unless they plan to make the gold helmet the standard helmet they won't go back to those uniforms. I talked about it on the home page when TTF posted the news about the throwbacks. As i said to TTF I think this rule just about kills the throwback uniforms or at least the complete outfit, teams might continue using a third jersey.

I really only have my Transformers and Star Wars figures from back then, but I've promised them to my son (who is now 7). I do still have the original TMNT comics (the black and white, more violent Eastman and Laird series that pre-dates the cartoon). I've been debating about getting them appraised as they're still mint.

I can tell you that if they're the first run from 84 you can expect to get almost a grand for issue 1 alone. I'm gonna meet Kevin Eastman in June and have him sign my mint and in the box figures. It's gonna be great. I've seen an actual issue one and almost cried because I couldn't get it. LOL.

 

I can't believe my thread got hijacked by a couple of trekkies. LOL.

LOL! Just to clear my name from that incredible slur I'm NOT a Trekkie and am STRICTLY a Star Wars fan! HA! Sorry to hijack the thread but I find the uniforms to be so atrocious that they hijack my dang eyes! LOL!!! We've done you a huge favor!

 

Same here. I do like the original Star Trek series, but I'm no Trekkie. BTW, my TMNT comics are the original first series, but my #1 is a 3rd printing. My #2 -#10 are first printing, though.


And of course, go Steelers, bumblebee unis or not.

 

They've grown on me....just wish I hadn't gotten a Harrison one....
