will allen is back and may be playing a bigger role now that shamarko is down. where has Robert golden been all year? isn't he the heir apparent as we heard early in the year? I've seen him do nothing. here we are back to an old guy playing again. how can rebuilding , retooling, remodeling gain any traction if we keep bringing back the same old players?

where are the people calling for urbik and legursky to be brought back or should have been kept? they were beaten like rented mules last week by our front. seems we made a good decision to let them walk.

Paulson has been passed by palmer on the depth chart. spaeth is MIA. gordon has been inactive for two straight weeks. why are these guys taking up space on this team?

One less TE on the roster and bring up Arnfeldt to take a few snaps each game. Couldn't hurt. Or Long or Golic, etc...We don't need 5 TE's, the way our OL goes down like flies we need more of them to dress on game day.

yes, my bad freak, Gordon. he's a big blocker too. 275 lb TE. I don't dislike palmer and have said from the start he should be playing more, but for pass protection and red zone target, why wouldn't we use gordon? he can catch.

I understand the use of mike adams as a TE/extra tackle, but wouldn't Gordon in that role give you a little faster guy that could get into a pattern and that could catch a pass if they desired to throw to him? personally I think adams should get the RT spot and gilbert go to the backup guy.

it's like they had to take our two second round picks and combine them to make one player and he can only play RT.:cool:

I agree about the long or hubbard being brought up, or arnfelt. golic is gone.

I've seen some pictures lately of practice and I see hubbard as only listed at 286lbs., but he sure looks bigger and stronger. he was a 4 year starter at LT in college, they have moved him inside though. did they even try him at LT in camp? seriously.

as for long, I thought he did pretty good at either tackle spot in the preseason. he's been here near two years now.

i'd be plucking guys sitting at home all the time for the PS, just to see what they have as a fit for us. not all of them but at least a spot or two.

To answer your question about Robert Golden I'm pretty sure he's been trying to dig his face out of Jay Cutler's shoulder. LOL.

This makes me think of "When Harry Met Sally" - and Billy Crystal is talking to Meg Ryan who is talking about her boyfriend "Sheldon being a great lover" and says "Sorry but Sheldon is not a great name for a lover, if you want a guy for a root canal, then Sheldon is your man, but not for bumping and grinding."

So to paraphrase - if you want a good hitting free safety then Sheldon is not your man! ... then again as the poster above indicated how Cutler laid him out, apparently Robert Golden isn't a good name for a safety either. :roflmao:

I just looked at our cap, and the dead money, even if we dump a bunch of old guys would blow your mind....

Having thought long and hard about it, I can only conclude that Todd Haley uses all of these TEs to move furniture and fittings around his various houses.

TEs ready to help out and possibly fill in as O-Linemen... Is that possible?

then why not just bring up a couple of linemen and dress one? we have never kept 4 TE's until this year and a FB we barely use.

It really makes me wonder also Mac, how can you expect players to get GAME experience if you don't play them? JJ should never leave the field from here on out. Were probably not going to make the playoffs, Lets see what
we have to work with going forward.

Good point. I have no clue what all the TEs are about. Why don't they put them in when in the red zone so Ben has bigger targets? Unless... they can't catch... :lolol:

Yeah. The numbers are astounding. I guess a team could do what the Raiders did this season and just take the $40 million dead money hit in one year and go from there.

Who is even on the practice squad these days? Every week it seems like there are transactions and guys coming in for a day or two, only to be immediately cut or replaced. Had trouble keeping up. Also, on a somewhat related topic, did anyone ever pick up Baxter after we cut him? Sorry if this takes the thread off topic...

They are on the injured reserve...remember we bring them in, get them hurt (while they are getting dressed, warming up, taking showers etc.) and put them on IR.
