I think we would have the oldest secondary ever assemble. Reed stays hurt way to much. No thank you.

if you think we can reach the playoffs then we should take a look at any cut around the league , if not we should save the money for next season

As far as overpriced, I thought I saw that if a team picks him up, it'd cost 412k plus 60k per game. That really doesn't sound like an outrageous price tag. Not sure he'd be welcome on the team, but I wouldn't think price would be a factor. If nothing else, he'd probably help increase our INT rate.

    Far behind him.

He's expensive for a part-time player, who isn't needed on your roster, who is a shell of his former self.

No. The Ravens knew Reed's tank was almost empty and let him walk for a reason.

If we're interested in an over-the-hill safety just ask Lake to suit up and save the relocation expense.

No! Even if he had 2 years left in him we are a team cap strapped with a lack of talent. Not totally, we have a lot of useful parts but we need to much to return to SB caliber.

If we were in a serious playoff push with realistic SB goals and Troy was hurt and Reed was up to his old self.... then yes but only then.

Reed is a ball hawk that is often out of position, just like Troy. Even if he helped us back there, we aren't a contender this year. What is the point of signing a guy like that? Why not continue to play Shamarko instead?

it might be worth bringing him in just to show the secondary how to actually make an int. he does have 61 in his career. i believe that is more than the Steelers entire secondary combined career totals.

In no way shape or form am I implying that I would sign him BUT. I can't help but sit here and wonder what it would look like have 43 lined up next to 20 lol.

If he clears waivers, he is a free agent. He could be signed for the vet minimum. At the vet minimum, he wold be a pretty good nickle back, nothing more. If we were going to the playoffs, I would be in favor of this. Since we are not, we should be giving time and experience to our youth.
