    Let's see Ben had 4 turnovers against the Bears 3 against the Vikings and 3 against the Patriots.

    :this!: Probably some reporter insider type starting rumors I read somewhere trading Ben would be a 14 million cap hit that's not happening.

    Some fans are not going to be happy until they run the BEST QB out of town ,yes I said the BEST QB to ever put on a Steeler uniform. He is one of what 53 and also has coaches dictating his moves for the most part. This guy should and I would bet that he retires wearing the Black and Gold. Everyone has a right to their opinion but com on man give it a break. :frustrated::dizzy:

    What about the other 5 games? Fact - Ben does NOT have 3-4 turnovers per game.

    Any fan worth his salt knows that all you need to do to get a franchise QB is draft one in the first round. That formula has never failed, so by all means let's just get rid of Ben this offseason. Heck, let's just sit him the rest of he season so that he's healthy when we field trade offers. We may have 2 franchise QBs buried on our roster, and they probably just need a shot. In fact, if you watch how AB throws the ball on gadget plays, he may be our future franchise QB (maybe that explains his salary).

    Joking aside, I do think that there is an issue brewing, and the issue is whether we will be able to extend Ben at a reasonable salary. My non-insider guess is that a combination of Ben's warm relationship with Haley and questions about whether we'll be able to agree on an extension are what led to speculation by Ian's "unnamed sources close to the organization." My position is that our best chance to become a championship caliber team in the near future is to do a "mini rebuild" around Ben with a 2015 target. However, that's predicated on being able to do a blend-an-extend extension this offseason that keeps his cap number under $20MM for the 2015 + 2016 seasons.

    It's funny, as I typed this Ben was proceeding to throw a rookie-caliber interception, but he is a franchise QB and has enough left in the tank to be on top for at least 3 more years.

    Art Rooney II has squashed the rumor said the Steelers haven't explored trading Ben and have no plans to do so.

    Well some games he does I was exaggerating to make my point. the common theme when Ben does has 3 or 4 turnovers the team loses.

    Only when it's used to make a point that doesn't exist. Fact is, Bens TO's isn't anything earth shattering, as I pointed out, Peyton has almost the same numbers in total turnovers and Brees is only 2 behind on Interceptions. I think there are enough real problems facing the team without creating fictional ones.

    Also, what you call hyperbole is sometimes just flat out lying. (not saying thats what you were doing rule6, just that it does goes on).

    Manning has 29 TD passes and responsible for 10 turnovers.
    Brees has 21 TD passes and responsible for 7 turnovers.
    Rothelisberger 12 TD passes and responsible for 14 turnovers.

    Difficult to win games when the QB gives the ball away more then he scores TDs. Whether you want to admit it or not Ben's play has been a big issue for this team this season.

    Bottom line this team isn't good enough to overcome the games when Ben does have 3 or 4 turnovers.

    Most teams don't overcome that many turnovers, like Scott and I pointed out, its not the norm and you can thank the line for some of those.
