Some time has passed and more details are out. His time in Miami is all but over. He won't be cut due to Cap rules. He can probably be had for a 7th rd pick now.

Question is if you were the FO would you give up a 7th rd pick and bring him to the Steelers?

I'd agree with you if it was only the slurs. Add the "crapping" on your head and slapping your mother and threatening to kill you and it's a different scenario. If it were me, not a chance I would sign that guy. Let him go to the Raiders!

I'm curious, in that voice male he left martin he said he would kill him. Makes me wonder if the police will get involved since a person cant threaten another now days with out it being against the law

 

So far the players in the locker room are supporting incognito. He cant be that much of a cancer if most of the players are supporting him. Pouncey said he was basically trying to lite a fire under he ass but he wished he would have used different words.

 

Yes, I would. as far as the trade deadline it would have to be at seasons end before the draft.

Here's why. The only reason why people are saying no is because he used a "slur" or threaten a guy.

My thing is he is the type of LG we need to be next to Pouncey and DD.
He is actually being supported by his teammates after all this. This says something. Did he cross the line? He sure did. Can he learn from it and move forward, I believe so.

Richie, an aggressive intensive player was asked to toughen up 2nd year martin, he did it the only way he knew how and it was back in April. Six months later Martin quits and tells people of the voice mail.... hhmmm

He went too far, but in life haven't we all went too far, especially when we get caught up in the moment and being asked to do something we clearly aren't equipped to do. I think in the right environment he can be a valuable member of the team.

Imagine next year our OL being Mathews/Incognito/Pouncey/DeCastro/ Adams-Gilbert.....

He was trying to light a fire under him. The coaches say, hey get this guy going, and he tried. We all say that we want nasty linemen..... how do you think they are made? We may disagree about the motivation
method but that is what he was trying to do. Inspire the primitive fight or flight response hoping he decides to fight and then focus the fight. He is not a racist, he is friends with ponce and the rest of the line. Why do you think fights happen in camp? Brown and Ike. That was designed to toughen Brown up after they made a commitment to him. Not all players are designed to fight like Hines, Harrison, Porter, Smith, Faneca, and Ike. Sometimes it is created. The biggest problem with our team right now is we don't fight. We don't have that attitude. So hell yeah I will take a guy who is skilled and has fire. Right now we have no fire. The only people who don't understand are those who never spent any time in any type of locker room.
