    Exactly my thoughts. Hope he makes it all the way back, I think he has made it way further then anyone ever thought already.

    I wonder if being 2-6 had anything to do with it? why even bother taking a chance with the season nearly out of reach? I liked the kid since he was at Miami.

    now the worry and waste of good money is spaeth. where is he?:cool:

    I don't think so, Mac. I can't see how our record was a deciding factor. I think his chances were slim, and having missed nearly all of his practices since being back, the chances were even slimmer. Hopefully we see him in action next year.

    I've not heard anything recent on Spaeth. I'll ask around and see if any beat reporters know anything.

    I just wondered if, we were in the thick of it, would they allow him to keep going on slow on the active roster until the end of the year and for playoffs. now just give him lots of time. just a thought. yea i'm definitely one pulling for him. I was one of the few that really liked him as a pick for us. smart kid. I think his injury forced them to bring foote back this year again.:cool:

    Gotcha. Wexell says he's walking around fine, but hasn't heard anything new. A few weeks back he said he was walking around without a boot, brace, or limp. Gotta be hearing something about him soon.

    What are the restrictions on a player who is on IR and what is allowed?

    I was hoping he'd get on the 53 so he could get more time with the team on the Practice field.

    They can't participate in practices or walkthroughs. Basically, it's working out, rehab, physical therapy, etc...

    I've been wondering about Spaeth, too. Not much to go on but it's something. Thanks for that info.

    Exactly what I thought. This is why I wanted him on the 53, not to save our season but to grow in this defense and take it over next year.

    the guy has come along way. the fact that he was even given a chance to play this year was a victory for him.

    hopefully with another offseason he can come back next year and really make an impact for this team. lord knows they can use all the help they can get.
