For a moment, I thought you were referring to his asinine decision to leave Ben in the game. But then, I guess the word wouldn't be "threatens;" it would be "jeopardizes."

Ben said that they would have had to 'drag him out of there.' There's a video on Youtube from a couple of years ago against the Panthers. The Steelers were up and Ben was taking tons of hits and Tomlin told him he would take him out if he didn't 'keep himself clean.' Ben just sort of blew him off with a laugh and said, "I only know one way to play coach." and stayed in the game. I'm guessing he would be a royal pain to deal with if he were to get taken out of any game.

    The headline should read:
    Mike Tomlin's job threatened

    The headline will actually read
"Mike Tomlin is a really cool guy and that's all that matters..."

Eerily quite on the Rooney front.
Oh boy, tough decisions coming down the road. What is the Steeler record since the Denver playoff
loss of a couple years ago?Are there any quick fixes? Magic eight ball where are you?

Ah, the old inmates running the Asylum.

Tomlin keeping Ben in the game is just plain dumb on his part. He was getting pummeled with 2 minutes left down by 24 points.
Tomlin is clueless and certainly should have had a back up in at that point.
What if Ben tears an ACL or sprains his throwing shoulder in an otherwise meaningless outcome?

You are sooooo correct. Why leave Ben in the game? Maybe Mike has Ben on his fantasy team and he needed a few more garbage yards to get to that magical 400?

Tomlin is clearly suffering from sideline concussions. Ben should never have seen the field after the Pats last TD. Case closed. Maybe he was hoping Ben would get hurt so he could cry into his terrible hankie and lament the fact that they have many injuries and now their starting QB.

Sadly, the only way to get the Rooney's attention is for folks to not go to the home games. Stay home. An empty stadium will send a much larger message than, someone is gonna lose their job around here if they don't start playing.....and this time I am serious.....well, sort of.

Ben,Bell,Brown,Miller....Should all have been on sideline!! Let Grad or Jones (not even sure if Jones was active) hand off to Dwyer or Jones and get the heck out of there. Every meaningless pass he threw I was holding my breath till everyone got up. Just dumb!!!

Jones wasn't active. I really wouldn't have cared if Ben just took 4 straight knees. I mean what could we have possibly accomplished?

Now we're boycotting games? Really? After the Six titles, countless playoff appearances, numerous HOFers, and the immaculate reception that's how we show our loyalty to our beloved Steelers?

Oh and by the way Brady wasn't pulled from the game when it was out of reach either!

Yeah, but that is the Patriots MO. It is just their luck that no one has made Brady/Belicheck pay for continuing to run up the score after the game is well in hand.

The Steelers, on the other hand, let Arians go because of the beating Ben was taking. (And I've read a few articles pointing out that his play calling got Luck hit a lot last year, and he is doing the same this year.) If keeping Ben healthy for the season is a priority, then he has to be taken out even if he doesn't like it (when they are down by 24 with 2 minutes to go).

You know what Jack you are absoloutly correct. We need to call Tebow and sign him asap to break the curse...We have like 10,000 TE'S what would 10,001 matter ?

    Let's see:

He benched Mike Adams for Beachum

He cut Redman and brought in LSH and Felix Jones and signed back Dwyer.

    He brought in Velesco.

    He benched Ziggy Hood.

    He benched Jarvis Jones

    He benched Cortez Allen.

    He cut the punter.

We are running out of able people to put in games. He could bench Clark and Polumalu in favor of Sharmarko thomas and Will Allen. But maybe the former will be benched but I don't think the latter will.

I don't know if any more roster moves can be done with this team. Practice squad guys will come up but we will look like a high school team.

My problem is that all of this has mostly been in reaction....Why did we not make these moves sooner ?We looked like crap in pre season, why not use those games and shake up the roster then ?

This- Tomlin was referring to guys who "quit"..... Who quit? Better question is who showed up? Troy was burnt multi times, Brady played him like a fiddle so do we bench Troy?
