Way to go coach Cliche. Keep Ben out there with 76 seconds on the clock to get pummeled down by 24 points.

    Way to go you idiot.

Just another sign Tomlin doesn't get it.... The Steelers are in trouble for the next couple of years. We can't draft enough talent to fix this mess... We also traded our 3rd round pick next year to the Browns. We really need that pick now....

I said this awhile back...once we are out of it...I would go run heavy and keep 2 back in for pass protection to keep Ben injury free before the season ends... Ben is taking way too many hits...

ben is getting paid to play. I am sure a lot of players would like to be taken out when its out of reach. ben isn't special so let him play.

    we traded to miami ...
we need to rebuild .. fire colbert tomlin and cordinators (well DL has to retyre) than trade some of the big contracts and start again with someone that draft tough players and not babydoll . than in a 2 o 3 years we can have a new team , this one is gone

You have a 120 million dollar franchise QB that was getting hit at the knees with 74 seconds left on the clock down by 24 points. There is no reason to have him still in the game at that point but Yea, Keep him in. He may need some playing experience.

I agree, but in 3 years Ben will be 34 and likely beaten to a pulp. Hell it pains me to watch him try to run now, think of what he will be like after 3 1/2 more seasons of being beatdown?

Exactly. If people think this team has quit in them now just see what happens when the QB gets yanked at the drop of a hat for the fear he MAY be injured. Pretty soon the rest of the players start thinking why is Ben's health and welfare more important than their own and you have a team divided. Ben knows that would set a horrible example of leadership which is why he'd refuse to come out of the game anyway and good for him for feeling that way.

Tomlin actually said last night that the reason he had Ben in the game was because he was "trying to give him more snap opportunities to get better"! Dude he is an absolute moron if he actually believes that!

what are you talking about? Ben is not just about done. he threw for 400 yards and 4 tds. hes doing everything he can to try and win. we are supposed to crucify him because he doesnt want to come out of the game because they are losing?

i think DL defensive game plan is what is done. i just dont think it works anymore. it produces no sacks and very few turnovers.

i have a hard time buying that they dont have good players on both sides of the ball.

the oline stinks and thats a problem and they have some older players on defense which is also a problem, but they have some young guys that can play, but DL system doesnt allow them to flourish.

this team is a bad football team with bad coaching, but Ben is not the problem.

This team is lacking adhesive because the leadership is not providing. The General has lost his mojo Ben's troops have no direction nor confidence. We are losing the battles as we confront. Ben lost the ability to scrabble outside the pocket or even run any distance, he just stands in the pocket till the line breaks down and takes the abuse he's too stubborn to work on the quick release. Ben has been the backbone of this team we see the difference in team performance when he's out of the game or when he's not performing as he is now. The General is no longer fit for duty.. If the coaches and fans havn't acknowleged the inconsistency in performance by now then they are in denial. One must ask self.. do we continue this love affair with Ben or fix this mess and strive for another Lombardi.

Couldn't agree more, I mean what is the point. It's either he has no awareness whatsoever or he simply nods his head to everything Ben wants. Also - considering Ben just might get killed, wouldn't it have been useful to get Gradkowski a few snaps in an NFL game?

I've been wondering this a good bit lately ... Do teams have minimum required running times for incoming traded player physicals?
