I tried to tell you guys about grandpa Lebeau scheme it's not all on him there's no speed on defense, they're not stout enough to stop the run. The secondary is a mess let these no name receivers do whatever they want the Patriots struggled on offense all season but today they get over 600 yds and over 50 pts embarrassing effort by the defense.

Lebeau's defense gave up 55 points and your solution is to fire Mike Tomlin!? Genius.

No defending the D this game. What I want to know is why couldn't the offense put up these kind of points in the 5 games the defense did show up, could easily be 5-3 now.

Same here... Seems like we score accordingly to what the opponent scores

The Head Coach is responsible for everyone that takes the field. It's called coaching them up!

Today's loss just confirmed what I've said for 2 years which is that we lack play makers on both sides of the ball. Play makers with leadership ability that can rally teammates. I said from the beginning that the loss of Farrior & Ward was huge, there's no step in leader that has filled that void and we've become slow and mundane.

Many on this board will blame Tomlin, Haley, and Lebeau but truthfully I cant as yet place that weight ALL on the coaches because we just don't have the talent. I understand that coaches need to be able to get the most out of players but LET'S BE REAL. Our veterans are average and/or backups at best. Most are starters for their knowledge of the game not for their athleticism or play making abilities. You're going to tell me Clark, Taylor, Keisel are not playing past their expiration date. Clark is DONE, Keisel cant catch an edge runner and cant get to the QB with ANY consistency, Taylor has the ability to cover but CANT make big plays. Troy P is a splash player who isn't that great in coverage (we do all know that right?). Woodley is also very much overrated (and he's supposed to be your D leader) But playmakers make plays folks. Safeties and DB's get interceptions, Linebackers get sacks or at least pressure (no exceptions, no excuses). That is what DL is missing right now and that is what MT is missing right now. Remember Coach Noll had Defensive leaders he could turn to. Coach Cowher had Defensive leaders to turn to. MT has NO ONE because that player is not on the team or has not stepped into that role. On another note you witnessed today what the loss of Casey Hampton meant to our team, just like you witnessed it when Aaron Smith got hurt (can anyone say with certainty that we've found their replacements)

Offensively I dont like all of Haley's play calls but who the heck likes all of the coordinators play calls when your team is 2 - 6? I cant put all the blame on Haley for the same reason, no playmakers. Ben is a really un-intelligent QB who holds the ball too long and is not the best pure pocket passer. But besides that he does not have a possession receiver that can get open. The line is a joke but once again there's no Alan Fanaca's there.

A coach is important but more important is a coach's field general who helps to mobilize the troops in battle. EVERY Superbowl team had one if not more. Sadly we have none!

I'd let the Beard go. I'd keep Heyward and move McLendon to DE where he belongs...and who knows for DT. But, at this point I'd take a wait and see approach...till I know who the DC is next year and what their philosophy is.

    Here's my random thought.

I felt really bad for that girl that was shown surrounded by patriots fans, wrapped up in her steelers towel like she was trying to hide.

Because the Patriots offense is better than there defense. Not so with us.

No name receivers...is that synonymous with "no talent" receivers? Does that not suggest that in one instance, a coach can get a lot out of a lack of talent and the other coach can't?

True. It's Brady and Gronk and then who? Their o-line has suffered retirements, defections, and injuries, and yet it just plugs away. Vollmer went down last week: no problem. The Steelers have spent first- and second-round picks on the line and don't get near the return on that investment.

True. I really thought the Pats looked mortal until this week. Of course, we made the Raiders look good last week so what should we have expected?
